okay.. i just lost like 2 hours of my life... but I think it was for a worth while cause.. now i hope someone here is willing to make at least an attempt to represent electronic music here --> http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11692909just talk to Lord Moriku or LolliPopHorrors first.... Hmm, should be easy enough....we have most of the information already listed within our forums.
I'd be happy to uh fill out a post or whatever, just have them PM me. Of course anyone else here in the guild (the crew at least) are well versed enough in EDM to post as well.

Yeah I was thinking about that this morning, that everyone could contribute and make like a official Groovetech posting. That would kick a** and get the guilds name out there even more. ^_^

so, do we want to make mini sections devoted to all the significant types if electronic music? ex. one for jungle, house, breaks, trance, techno, hardcore and down tempo? then just kinda.. go wikipedia and make it open source? that way if someone feels up to tackling a full segment, and something was missed or misrepresented others can comment on it and edit it, before it finally being agreed up by hopefully everyone and then placed in the genre conscious post?

Although we'd need to watch it at all that stuff, I'm pretty sure that there's already Wikipedia pages for the main styles...

So I noticed that a few of the threads had a little title/banner thing, and usually these were guilds...so...I whipped this one up as an idea.

Info:
-Alex Rosner,after building the ver first stero club system in the world Fair of 1964, built the Rosie, the first mixer dedicated to DJing. What's interesting about Rosner was that his name was on Schindler's list, so he got out of the holocaust, and if he didn't we probably wouldn't have gotten the mixer. Rosner also created another mixer with the help of Louis Bozak. The Bozak was the first commercially available mixer and featured knobs only (no faders or crossfaders).
-Francis Grasso was first to start mixing like DJs do today, and made is sets more of a live performance than a sequence of tunes. He wasn't doing this in tee 80's though, he was doing it in 1969. This man litterally invented the beatmatch technique which has been used by DJs ever since.
