New York City, for some odd reason, has been a breeding place for various immortals, monsters, and oddities for years.*
For there are creatures that live within the city limits that are certainly not human. And while they live arguably normal lives in this large metropolis of steel and stone, they are still different.
That is why, if a non-human is looking for a date but wants to avoid the cliched romance between his or herself and a human, they go to one place.
Light's Out, a small, unassuming building located in the heart of Manhattan, run exclusively for non-humans. *No, that was not a reference to the politicians.

Click on the Map if you want to know where stuff is! On a busy Manhattan street bordering Central park, a small building sits sandwiched between the other various stores and restaurants New York City has to offer. It’s gray, grungy exterior matches the buildings around it, except for a bright red sign with neon yellow lights perched above the door, flashing the words ‘Lights Out Dating Service’. Stairs lead down to a door painted cherry red. Inside, pale cream carpeting and off-white walls make the room seem larger than it is. Photographs of various couples cover the walls, with comfortable looking chairs and pristine pots of plants shoved up against the wall under them. At the far end of the room is a large wooden desk of dark mahogany.
On top of the desk are various brochures to tourist locations around the city, as well as magazines for this month’s top restaurants and hotels. A small bell sits innocently next to a lamp waiting to be rung for service, as there is a door next to the desk that leads downstairs, the words ’Employees Only’ printed in red letters on its white surface.
The main setting will be the various areas around Manhattan, including but not limited to Central Park, the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Riverside Park, or Broadway. There are multiple restaurants and stores to be looked into as well. Occasionally a carnival is open in Central Park for the fun-seeking couple.

Armand: The owner of Lights Out. He’s the one actively setting up dates and talking to people who come inside Light’s Out. Learning their stories, figuring out who best matches them, and making sure they get together. From opening to closing he’s at the front desk of Lights Out and waiting to meet and greet the various customers that wander in.
Colley: He’s the guy in the background making sure that Light’s Out doesn’t go bankrupt. Using various techniques of persuasion, blackmail, and underhanded tricks, he sets up dates in the nicest restaurants and entertainment places Manhattan has to offer. For prices that are ridiculously low. Not that anyone would suspect him of such a thing…
Jay: She’s the newest staff member, and is the one who does all of the leg work. She goes out to the restaurants, theaters and attractions around the city to make sure that reservations are set and that the couple will have an enjoyable date.

~Armand~ Armand couldn't believed the new shop was finally open, his new employees would be coming in about 10 minutes, and he wanted to make sure that the To Do list was up to date. What did he still have to finish. The front desk still needed to be dusted; and the dating requests had to be filled among the list that he had read off.
Armand begin wiping the front desk of with a Clorox wipe while he waited for his new employees to get there.

alex walked out of the club at midnight, with a blonde girl on his left and a man with black hair on his right. his arms around each of them. he smiled and his hands slowly slid down to thw small of there backs. he kissed them both good bye.now for the real fun he walked nonchalontly to his motorcycle and waved. in an attempt to frighten them he drove straight into a brick wall but at the last second he disappeared. he had been advised against it, but where was the fun in rules?

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> A.J. Colley
---Accounts Manager <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> ------>> Colley's large apartment was modern, clean, and fasionably furnished. Sleek leather black couches and dark stained woods complimented cream walls, gracefully transitioning to a kitchen of black granite counters and stainless steel appliances.
Colley's favorite part of his apartment was his plants. They were probably the most beautiful indoor ferns in New York, and never wilted, sagged, or looked any other color but bright green. This was because Colley had once read in an article that talking to your plants made them grow better, so every day as he walked around and spritzed them with water he threatened them. And on bad days at his job, he made examples by coming home and incinerating the plant who looked the least aesthetically pleasing. The next day a new fern would be sitting in its place.
Yes, he had such beautiful little ferns.
That night, he decided that he would show up at his new job late. His last attempt at work at some cheesy dating service for humans had fallen flat once he had seen that a Principality was living only a few doors down in a bookstore. What was worse was that he knew the angel in question, so decided to move himself out of the way before trouble started.
This new place though, called Light's Out, looked promising. The patrons were all non-human, and many were immortal. He hoped it would make for more lasting relationships, which would help him get to his goal quicker.
So, he threw on a nice suit, adjusted his glasses on his nose--he didn't need them, but thought they made him look more intelligent-- and gave his plants a last warning look before leaving his apartment and taking the elevator downstairs to walk to the parking garage nearby.
From there he picked up his Bentley, a nice 1930s model bought new with only one owner. Him. He took the roads quickly, dodging other cars and drunk people staggering about so late at night. There seemed to be a commotion at the front of a bar he passed by, but Colley assumed it was just another way humans were being stupid and ignored it as he sped on.
Within fifteen minutes he pulled into the nearest garage and left his Bentley there, briskly walking the last block to Light's Out. It's bright sign glowed neon, matching the many others so late at night. Colley easily took the stairs down and opened the door, eyebrows lifting approvingly at the classy yet intimate interior of the place. There was a young woman at the desk at the far end of the room, talking to who Colley knew to be the owner Armand.
He paused after closing the door behind him, debating on whether or not to wait until she was finished, or to go ahead and intrude on their converastion. The polite thing to do would be to wait... but Colley was still a demon.
He came forward, shoes muffled by the thick carpet. It was only until he reached the desk that he spoke, clasping his hands behind his back and giving both a genial smile.
"Good evening. My name is Alexander James Colley. Please, just call me Colley. I am the new accountant manager that was hired to work here." <<

~Armand~ "Ah yes, Jay, Colly; Welcome to the shop. Colly your office will be in the back next to mine" Armand pointed in the general direction of the office."Everything you need to do your job is already set up back there for you" Armand turned to Jay "Jay, tonight I would like you to contact our subscribers and find out if they are still interested and to tell them more about the service we provide." He looked at both of them"I trust that you two read up on our services here?"

Jay shifted her weight to the back of her feet as she opened her mouth to speak and then closed it. She was unsure if she should speak first or wait.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> A.J. Colley
---Accounts Manager <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> ------>> Colley was pleasantly surprised at how quickly Armand was prepared to get him started on the job. He already had a good idea of what to do here, but it was always good to have extra paperwork to peruse over. Rules varied at each place.
Looking behind Armand, Colley saw the door that was labeled 'Employees Only', assuming that to be where the offices where. He would go inside and see what he needed to do in a few minutes.
For the moment he thought about the question posed to him by his employer. Colley, who had read up on the specific details of this business, could easily list all of the services of Lights Out. But that would waste breath and looking at the girl beside him Colley settled for the simple answer.
"Of course, sir. Is there anything in particular you need me to do at the moment, or may I procede to my office and start?" <<
