 “I have been living here for a long time, more than any other human is even supposed to live…my curse was bestowed upon me as a punishment for my sins…I regret them now but there’s not much I can do. It all goes back to that day, to that horrendous, thunderous day in which the Dragon’s War came to an end. I was young; I craved for power and fame, my comrades, a majestic wizard and a brave knight, fought against the evil man. Their swords crashed, their souls clashed and the resounding cry of the female mage pierced through my stunned, useless ears, I walked and walked, but the fight was on the sky, I saw how they slashed their own hearts, falling from the sky, two heroes of the war, one a brave man, the other a helpless guy. She rushed and cries, getting on her hands, her tears streamed down while I only watched. The last dragon fell, its life escaping away, my eyes opens wide, looking at the man who rode the tide, his sword lays on the ground, glowing in a bright light, I take it, my hands grasps the hilt and the power flows through my life, my armor turns black while my life flashes in sight. I look at her with disdain, she looks at me with sorrow, the tears still run down her cheeks, I can’t bear the look of her face as I turn and run to them, “My fallen comrade shall be avenged” I yell, the sword simply cuts through their flesh, the war comes to an end. I find myself standing there, alone with her over him, I turn to face them but I feel shame, I used this sword against them, I’m cursed, forever doomed, I run away to never be find again”
The song of a bard is heard through the city’s plaza; hundreds of people had gathered around the small fountain in the center to listen to the beautiful music that emanated from the harp of such a wonderful songwriter, some of the attendants seem sad, their faces show an amount of sorrow that can’t even be described, others look amazed at the story of a brave warrior like this, but feel sorrow that the curse had been brought upon him. Minutes pass, the plaza starts to see their large crowd leave its sight, the bard sits on top of a roof, looking up at the appearing moon, a night like this had never been seen before, the sky is filled with stars while the moon seems as big as ever, the environment is filled with sadness, not a very good feeling on this time of the year, the celebrations of the end of the Dragon War is near and the people in Canael are preparing a large celebration, this is the story of their kingdom, the history of the heroes who fought to save it. It’s been 50 years since the end of the Dragon’s War. The world seems at peace, divided in three major countries: Itirria, Raverdan and Altiperd. Nevertheless, Altiperd seems to be gaining a lot of power recently and the activities their Emperor is making don’t look good in the eyes of Raverdan and Itirria. In this Era, Dragons no longer exist, extinct due to the Dragon’s War, in which the Evil Forces that rose against world used and tamed the power of the dragons to destroy everything at sight. The Legendary Swordsman, slayed the last living dragon when confronting the leader of the Evil Forces and not one dragon has been seen since then. Now a day, the tension between these countries is starting to rise due to Altiperd and their secret dealings with arts not know to Itirria and Raverdan and not only that, but a “terrorist” group called The Eye of the Demon has been causing riots, massacres and theft around the continents. Will there be a stop to the constant menace of yet another war? Or will this events lead up to another conflict that will end in a bloodbath?

Rules: 1. Level 1 start 2. Most races are allowed, ask me about specific races and I'll tell you whether or not they're ok. 3. Character sheet's should be prepared like they are in the Creating a Character thread on the main forum. 4. RP your character realistically... if your a DnD whiz in real life but your character has 12 intelligence odds are he won't know everything. Wisdom also is a big thing. Wisdom is basically willpower, common sense, perception, and intuition. I also believe it's a form of life experience, one who has lived life to the fullest would be wiser than one who spent their whole life in a single town and didn't change things up much. 5. Fighting is not the only option, you CAN run, and you CAN try manipulating the surrounded terrain and objects in some situations. Not every single encounter has to be Slashing and Hacking away at enemies. Bonus EXP is rewarded for: -Bravery. Willingly sacrificing yourself will result in extra EXP for you. -Creativity. Being creative will net you extra EXP. -Staying in Character/role playing. Role playing and keeping the DnD experience alive will get you some EXP, not much, but some. -Certain Successful Checks. Certain skill rolls may earn you extra EXP if they're successful.
Karma/Alignment -Your actions will be noted by the divine (That's Me). -For every action perform their is a neutral, a good, or an evil outcome. -If you're lawful good and continue doing evil your alignment will change. This affects every character, and every alignment, even evil to good, good to neutral, neutral to evil, and so on. -If you seem to follow a trend with your decisions your alignment may not change at all, in which case you're doing a fantastic job staying in character. This Campaign will start when we have between 3-5 Characters.

DM Post Day light came across the window of your rooms; you would feel the warmth filling your cheeks as it would slowly wake you up from the slumber of the night. As you woke up, the sound of a beautiful instrument playing on the city’s plaza caught your attention, it was as if an angel itself had come down from heaven to perform for the Emperor of Canael. You would notice that a crowd of people began to walk through the streets, heading to the towns plaza. As you got up, you would find yourself in a small house with only the necessary rooms to make a living, a small kitchen could be found on the right wing of the house while the room you were resting was just to the east of the kitchen. To the west, you would find the door that lead out to the city’s streets, were the sea of people marched towards the plaza; the scent of fresh air and the bright day light gave a hint that this was going to be a rather good day.
Alice/Black: You wake up, watching the people walk through the streets, heading towards the center of town were a bard is playing his harp, singing a story, is it true or merely another fairy tale made up by this person?
Aucturus/Sniper/Grom Gor: You walk up to the city gates coming from the west, having just passed through a rather deep forest, during your trip, you noticed the forest had some activity that was abnormal, but decided to get to the City first. As you step up the gates, you notice the large crowd of people heading into the plaza's direction.

"Not sure people will respond well to an unchained orc's presence, but we should avoid making any...'sudden movements' if you know what I mean. Keep the guard out of affairs."

I haven't had any jobs lately, so I take a little time off. The bard's story keeps me occupied for an hour or so. I fear I have only caught the end of his tale, so I may not have full comprehension of it. No matter; it was nice while it lasted. I stand back, listening idly to the conversations around me.

As the song and the music faded, the citizens of Canael began to empty the plaza, at the center, the majestic fountain kept functioning as from its center a tall, thick tower of water kept filling up the bottom of it. The bard sat atop the roof of a house, flicking his fingers against the golden strings of his harp, the looks of the man would dazzled any normal girl as his black hair flowed down his head, covering part of his eyes and cheeks.
As the people left the plaza, they would look intrigued towards where Aucturus, Grom'gor and Sniper were, they seemed...uneasy at the presence of Grom'gor race, they didn't act on it though as they simply walked past them, even though the looks of an Orc on the city wasn't exactly a comfortable one, they seemed to not care much about it.
@Black Adder As you listened to the many conversations taking place at the site, one in particular caught your attention. A couple of about 40-50 years old were actually discussing the song the bard had just sung.
Was that the song of one of The Knights of the Silver Chalice? I never thought He would do something like that the elderly woman said as what seemed to be her husband answered It's just a bardic song my darling, sometimes they fix the story a bit in order to rhyme They walked away from the plaza, heading onto what seemed to be a mid-class district of the town.
