I got her! And, my God, she is already spoiled. And lazy! The laziest puppy I've ever met! Her paws are huge, too. So cute. She seems to be really smart. She is supposedly not potty trained, but I laid paper towels in my floor, went to pee, and when I walked into my room she was goin potty on them lol
Loook! Isn't she darling?

Ditto to Shanna's advice. Maybe keep an eye on local Craigslist and stuff. Can't always trust what people tell you (can you believe Lucy's old owner told me she was "pretty tame"? That snake tried to eat my hand the very same night!), but you can probably find a well-behaved older dog there...
Good luck, and congrats!!! =D

they have become my favorite breed. the shepherd mutt im living with right now has some issues that are common to the breed without proper training like she will attack people while they come in the house but so far its turning out to be pretty easy to get around that. they love pleasing their owners and when she is attacking someone or something she stops as soon as we say stop.
one thing ive been doing is to get her to sit and stay until the person comming in the house is all the way in and has the door shut beind them, then i act happy to see them in a calm way and tell her to go and say hi.
if i just open up the door and dont make her sit and stay first then she attacks while they are comming in. other than the over protectiveness they are a great breed and really great with kids.

Yay! Post pics when you get her! =D
Haha. I looove my laptop PC. I just hate the school-issue Mac (and all other macs, but the only mac I own is school-issued). Desktops are okay, but I've gotten so used to the portability... Maybe some day I'll have one of each. xP
