Into to the Fam.-Tree/Coven Idea
Hey everyone!
Anyhow, THE IDEA:
I've been noticing that a lot of people like the idea of starting their own little vampy covens or families. So I was thinking that on Only Alice we could make a list of all the families within the guild, and start up a few new ones. Not only would this give us a sweet little taste of vampire family life, but it would be a great way to promote unity in the guild, and get everyone back into that feel of such a close knit community we had back when we were first starting out, and Twilight was just released.
As of yet this is a project that is just being put into action. Tons of stuff to do with our families will be popping up over the next couple of weeks. I'll be sending guild announcements to everyone every time something new pops up. Thanks to all the wonderful donations you guys have given to the guild account its now possible to keep everyone updated easily. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
So what do you guys think of the family idea? Everyone would be united, and at some point we might even be able to have family based Roleplays or meet in towns. Mostly though its just for fun and a sense of belonging to the guild.

eek! I'd better start sending out a notice about this! or else I'll be talking to myself here for quite awhile... I wonder who'll be the first to notice that... I'm gonna start a poll to see..
Edit! Never mind, there's already a poll.. ooh and it looks like at least one person likes the idea! Yeah!

Ok, so here are the guidelines.
1) Covens don't need to have a mother a father, etc.
2)Covens don't even need to be co-ed! Ex. Denali Sisters.
3)As of yet we are not limited to the amount of covens. If you and your friends already have a vamp family or coven, you huys can sign up your coven altogether. Even if you don't already have one but think it would be neat for some people to join, just register your coven/family.
4)This is a family tree type thing, while all the covens may not have specific connections, in a way we will be connected. Ex. While the Cullens and Denalis aren't linked by "blood" they still consider themselves cousins.
5)When signing up just say who is related to whom in your coven. Ex. 'Carlisle and Esme are mother and father to all of us but while Jasper is my mate, Edward and Emmet are my brothers, and Rosalie and Bella are my sisters and they are my brother's mates. And we are the Cullens.' ... Wow that was a long complicated example.
6)If you aren't part of a Coven but would like to be, no worries! Just let me know and I'll find a place. Ex.: 'Jasper shows up, covered in battle scars, towing this little freak” — he nudged Alice playfully — “who greets them all by name, knows everything about them, and wants to know which room she can move into.”
7)Get along and have fun!! No tearing apart and burning up family members!!

hey krissy! this is such nice new idea to bond the guild
btw, I'll totally be in your coven!
we could have family fights, little family reunions, blood disputes, drama..
but, I think many of the members should hold their own special power, or at least develop into one. Of course, if they want to be a vampire alone, that's fine too.
any cool coven name ideas?

Ya! That would be so much fun! We could have threads, that are sort of like role-plays but not entirely to host our reunions and feuds.
Special powers: I totally agree, I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not, but if anyone wants to add a special power, post here, or pm and ill put it next to your name in the coven list.
As for names, I didn't really delve into any ideas here, but I have just opened a thread where people can discuss names.

Eek! I already stuck my name down under coven one.. back when there was only me... -.-' Would you like to take coven 2 or 3, OR if everyone else in the coven is fine I could just switch the name of the leader around. ^_^ Any preference?
Wow. Calling the covens by numbers sounds lame... we need some names fast... Check out the naming forum people! If there isn't a link here then just go to the same subforum that this thread is in and you'll find it right away!

and i already have a name and some (Fake people i made up) they are from a story and i would really like new inspiration and work with other people on developing people... is that even legal?
But any way My vampier name is Cecily Rose, and she is kick a**!
for now instead of coven 3 can i call it The Glass Menagerie.

OMG Vampire names!! That is just a-w-e-some.
Also I just noticed Wayne-Lover asked about roles, like Alice and Rosalie.
Basically yah, like how Alice is the quirky 'future-teller' and how everything she does defines her. or Carlisle is the father and the caring protector. Esme is the motherly... and you get the drift.
But OMG!! Vampire names... thats soo cool!!
And sure, I'll put you in for coven three.

Alright Just wanted to let you guys know about the naming.
With a stroke of brilliance from darkmotif, the conclusion has been drawn that each coven will choose for themselves, something significant to the coven. This will decide their names and further promote unity through covens! ^_^
Also, as things are picking up, I'm soon going to send out an announcement about home bases for the covens, where each coven can go for their own mini discussions and stuff. I'm thinking that if the coven start to need it after awhile they can apply for a subforum- but lets not get ahead of ourselves.
For now I'd like to encourage people to ask their friends in the guild, people they asked to join or were asked to join by, stuff like that, or even just someone they've liked chatting with before, maybe a friend made in the guild to join their covens- go unity! (Ex. Lullabies is as close as family to me in real life, why not here? - love you Lullabies!! ^_^) Even if your friend isn't in the guild, go ask them to join if you think they would like to be part of a Twilight-inspired coven.
