the fiance and i will be looking at housed together for the first time this sunday. the house we are going to see he has already been to and told me a bit about
its a pretyt good price, just $230,000 but he is going to try to talk it down to $180,000.
its a one story with 2 fire places, a pool, and 3 bedrooms, not sure how many bathrooms though. bathrooms are important to me.
but yeah, about the pool
its an in ground pool and the fiance speaks highly of it. of course the first thing i thought when i heard there was a pool was turning into a giant fish pond. the fiance quickly shot down that idea but i can still hope lol XD think of all the plecos or goldfish i could keep in there

Hun, we're ALL insane here. Haven't you figured that out already?? =D
Or Koi!!! You could ask him to section off half of the pool. Or tell him he can still swim in it... It'll just be unheated, unchlorinated, and he'll have various large fish nipping at his toes and... Other places... xD
Good luck, and I hope you guys get the house!!! (Oh, and remember--One story is GOOD. It makes setting up dozens of heavy terrariums THAT much easier when you don't have to drag them upstairs! ... Yeah, I've thought about this extensively.)

i just saw the house today and the entire time i was figuring out places where the reptile tanks would go and where the rat cage would go. there is a perfect little room for the rats where i can even let them free range all day if i wanted. and there are 2 closets in the mater bedroom, i want to take one out and just put in a rack system

Oh, I'm such a herp girl. I keep thinking... "Why not do it the other way around?" Like... Make a big rat enclosure out of the closet, and stuff the small room chock-full of reptile tanks, racks, and enclosures... Lol. =)

i wasn thinking that but the cage is too big to fit in the closet, plus the "rat room" didnt have enough outlets for all the heating i would need in there lol
the fututre kids room would serve as a reptile room until i got my rack system, or got preggers, whichever comes first XD
but there is one spot that is perfect for a 20gal and you see it right when you walk in. im debating on either my fish tank, the eastern milk, or one of my leos.
no big spaces for my 2 40gal sized enclosures but i would find a place, oh how i would find a place. plus i can always keep some of the reptiles in the rat room. for nearly a year i kept my rats right beside the ball with no issues at all

Yeah.. My comment was going off your thought of letting the rats free range. Wouldn't want any of them finding their way into a snake cage... Kind of like the cat that insists on sleeping on top of the snake tank until the screen falls through.
Ahaha. That's one of the first things I look for when I walk into a house.. Does it have a lot of outlets? Are they closely spaced? How many tanks can I fit in this room, and are there enough outlets to supply them with heat..? My best friends are those surge protectors with a dozen outlets on them... Lol. =)

lol, thats another reason why i loved this house, besides the garage and "rat room" there were dozens f outlets in each room. i guess the people who lived there were christmas people becasue there were outlets in odd places and everywhere
and if i have the snake cage positioned right the rats cant climb up the table its on to get in, but one of my boys is a daredevil who enjoys testing fate so im sure he would find a way if i wasnt watching him

we didnt get the house. 2 other people were offering more than we had for it. but we are about to get a house though. we are getting my grandmother's house since she moved and she is giving us a good price. i already know where i will put the rats and some of the reptiles. the fiance was wondering if i planned on putting all ther reptiles in out bedroom but i want them to be seen by people. im thinking of putting one of the leos right in the hallway, i dont know which one. ethen is used to her 40gal and i dont want to downgrade her, luna is pretty but alot of people think she looks plain becasue she is a midnight blizzard, and leo is very pretty but has bent forearms from when she had MBD. plus all but ethen hide alot. i may put ethen in the den area becasue she really adores watching people and may even enjoy watching tv. and jack the cresty is going in the living room. i want to make a custom tank that would doubel as an end table. maybe ill make a coffe table/tank for the ball python. the soon to be father in law makes tables and chests all the time so maybe he can make a tank version as a wedding gift if i ask him to
my cat is looking forward to moving. he hates our big dog because she chases him and she will be staying with my dad and sister. unluckily for my cat the fiance and i plan on getting a german shepherd puppy soon lol
