History: Lutalo Khalfani never expected to be anything great. He is the son of a factory worker, from a family of unskilled laborers - not exactly the top of the heap. Hell, he considered himself lucky just to have snagged his last job - at the age of 16 he was hired by Hanover Corporation as a temp worker on their latest project, construction of a power plant at the border of the Dregs. It wasn't easy work, but it paid well and it kept him out of his father's house.

The work was dangerous. Since most of the workers were hired on-site in the Dregs, Hanover Corporation saw no need to enforce the strict safety codes that a construction project in the High Hive would have demanded; it was cheaper that way. Besides, the Hanover execs reasoned, who would care if a few Dregs died so long as the Mid Hive had more reliable power sources?

Lutalo and a crew of seven were given the most dangerous job of all - directly installing the palladium-plutonium core of the arc reactor. Of the eight people who directly handled the core, five died of radiation poisoning. Only Lutalo and two others survived.

Lutalo doesn't know if it was the radiation of the Core, the inherent instability of Grace's ecosystem, or something else entirely that caused him to change. Frankly, he doesn't care - he's far too distracted by his newfound ability to bench-press ******** cars.

Yes. Lutalo has super-strength. And he is enjoying the hell out of it.

He knows to be careful, though. He's seen the news reports. He knows that Supers get hauled off to be Registered every day, and some of them never return. But come on, give the kid a break - he can bench-press a sedan! He's never been happier in his life.

This carefree attitude will probably get him in trouble.

If you pin an opponent (see Grappling), you can apply a chokehold, causing your opponent to begin suffocating for as long as you maintain the pin (see Suffocation).

When your condition is reduced to dying you automatically stabilize on the following round without any need for a Constitution check, although further damage can still kill you.


Improved Grapple
Combat

You can make grappling attacks with only one hand, leaving the other free. If you pin your opponent, you can maintain the pin while still using your other hand to perform actions.


Improved Pin
Combat

Your grappling attacks are particularly difficult to escape. Opponents suffer a –4 penalty on grappling checks against you to escape a grapple or pin.


Power Attack
Combat

When you make an attack you can take a penalty of up to –5 on your attack bonus and add the same number (up to +5) to your attack’s saving throw DC. Your attack bonus cannot be reduced below +0 and your save DC modifier cannot more than double. The changes to attack and saving throw DC are decided before you make your attack roll and last until your next round. This feat does not apply to effects requiring no attack roll or allowing no saving throw.


Ultimate Power Attack

When spending a hero point on an attack roll with Power Attack, you treat the roll as a 20 (meaning you don’t need to roll the die at all, just apply a result of 20 to your modifier). -Description: Lutalo is, as previously mentioned, absurdly strong. He has an effective strength of 27 (12 + 15) when determining carrying capacity. He also gains +3 on all checks involving sustained application of strength, like Climb checks, Grapple checks, and checks to break things in half (his second favorite kind of checks), but not to melee attacks (his favorite kind of checks).

He also has learned a handy application for his inhuman strength - the Shockwave. By slamming his hands together, Lutalo can create a shockwave of air pressure in front of him, dealing damage to everything in a ten foot cone in front of him. Victims inside the cone take damage (Toughness save DC 16).
