Setting is a large vast meadow in the middle of a cool spring day. White puffy clouds dot the sky but the sun is never blocked for more than a few moments. A South easterly breeze rustles the lushly green grasses and thousands of flower species. Many small creatures scurry about in the mid calf length foliage and any insect you can imagine in a garden can be found crawling about or zipping through the air.
You post first. Use Shikai whenever you feel it necessary.

Kiwishima was stretching lightly on one end of the meadow he had actually woken up early for the first time in a few months. He had joined a small challenge by the 4th division captain because he had heard the man was truly a hand to hand combat master and Kiwishima had to see it with his own eyes. Mikaihatsu had warned him not to get in over his head, but Kiwi had brushed off his constant lecturing as nothing more then the praddlings of an old man.
Slowly he removed his new rank badge and set on the ground before also removing his shoes and his jacket. He wore nothing more than his pants and his wraps now and he was unwinding them as well, tightening each finger as they exited their bindings he felt them all pop and crack with joy. He pulled his hair back tightly and tied off the small little stub to keep it out of his face before turning to his opponent on the other side of the meadow. Kiwischima had some convictions about fighting a blind man, but he was also a captain so he believed that he should probably push those to the side before the man handed him his own butt on a platter.
"You ready captain?" He called out across the meadow before bringing up his hands into a classic Muey Thai stance.

Standing in the meadow, Mikhail closed his eyes and inhaled as the wind blew through his lean form. When the breeze calmed into nothing but stillness, the unusually tall Captain exhaled, releasing any and all tension that had been held within his body. Today he was to push a Lieutenant to his limits, testing his powers to a point where Mikhail would be able to decided whether or not he was worth teaching Kido to. After all, Mikhail was a Kido master. His knowledge of spiritual energy, Chiyudou, kido, and the physical body were nearly unrivaled. His time was precious and limited and would be spent teaching only those worthy of learning. Deep inside he hoped that Kiwishima was worth teaching but he knew not to get his hopes up.
Mikhail stooded in a very simple, casual "street" stance like if one where to stop mid-walk. He turned his head to face the sourse of the sound from across the meadow and waved the child over. "It'd be best if you started this off. I'm afraid that if I were to have the first strike that my lack of restraint might end the battle before it were even to get started." He sounded so cocky then. So arrogant and full of himself but in many ways it was justified. Mikhail knew little to no self restraint. He wasn't one to typically toy with an opponent or taunt them. No, he demoralized them by stating the pure unrestrained truth and then backed it up full force. He lived by the addage said by Theodore Roosevelt; "Speak softly and carry a big stick". Mikhail was the walking epitome of that statement and lived up to his nickname as "Soviet".

Kiwishima was of average height but skinny in the presence of such a large man it really seemed as though he was pushing his luck. The man knew precisely what he was doing and had even adapted to the loss of his sight, that would mean he could take a serious physical beating after all the years of training and that was precisely what Muey Thai was invented for, but would it be enough.
Did you listen to his words? He doesn't hold himself in check, make sure you use that against him. Mikaihatsu chimed in before Kiwi started.
Kiwi charged him with full force showing no fear or restraint in his first attack, as he neared he leapt towards Mikahil attempting to curve himself around his head and turn himself over to bring his elbow into Mikhail's collar bone with an intense amount of physical power. It was tricky but if he landed it dead square on the bone he might be able to crack it, and then he could use it as an anchor to drive his knees into Mikhail's back with just as much force.

Typically when you think of a man 6'7" you don't think of someone too particularly agile or swift but with Mikhail, you get both. A a physician of sorts his knowledge of the anatomy and how the body works is unsurpassed. This infinite and indespensible knowledge led him to medical discoveries that allowed him to manipulate his own body in ways that allowed it to function in a near reverse fashion. Every joint and socket in his body can be dislocated and relocated by shear willpower. Mikhail however has even more surprises. As a medical Shinigami he's had plenty of encounters with toxins and poisons. With such a track record of exposure he's gradually built up his own immunity to the most common of them, his body naturally able to fight them off and expell them via his pores and other bodily excretements. Even more impressive is his adeptness in battle. With his knowledge of the bodies key weaknesses and pressure points Mikhail is a very strategical fighter though he prefers more spontaneous methods of battle over thought out concrete plans.
In this case there was not much time for any planning of the sort. Instead he had to use his head in order to quickly and efficiently figure out a way to get the better of his welcomed aggressor. Just like me, he prefers to use his hands over his sword. Intriguing. Slightly perplexed by the rarety of a hand-to-hand inclined opponent not of the 2nd or 7th Division Mikhail could do little but smile and beam with glee.
As Kiwishima came at Mikhail in a pleasant display of acrobatics, Mikhail was able to follow his movements and his attempt at an elbow strike upon Mikhail's collarbone. Reacting swiftly and efficiently, Mikhail held out his right hand, slightly bent as if he were attempting to catch Kiwishima and fired a near harmless kido. "Bakudo #8. Seki." Creating a perfectly spherical ball of Reiatsu in his palm, Mikhail was effectively attempting to stop Kiwishima's elbow and send his body, which had rotated towards him, in an opposite rotating spin away from himself. He'd then move in on the Lieutenant and strike.

Kiwischima had just barely gotten his feet underneath himself when the captain was on top of him striking down on him. Kiwishima reinforced his forearms with his own reiatsu trying to form an extra physical boost as he crossed them and attempted to defend. The power from this guy was unrivaled as he was dropped to a knee with just one strike. Kiwischima had only been a lieutenant for two days and had just begun his training inside shunpo and reiatsu reinforcement.
Kiwischim dropped his hand to the ground and brought his knee in towards his ribs with all of his might. His attack was swift, but he had just come to a realization that this man was far beyond his abilities and that he might have bit off a chunk bigger than his entire head. This was going to be by far one of the funnest and most excrutiatingly painful experiences of his life, all he wanted was to land one real physical strik on this man.
Kiwishima took into consideration his own captain's way of thinking and analyzed his strengths. The man was blind, but had adapted all of his other senses far beyond normal means so an attack that made too much noise or no noise would be the most effective. He was incredibly large and strong, and had problems holding back on his strength. If he could figure out ways to force him to hyper extend a joint he could force this captain into being his own worst enemy. He was a master of healing techniques and apparently very skilled in kido. Depleting him of his spiritual energy would be the only way to truly hurt him if it got that far along in the fight. Wait a second, he was incredibly strong and had problems holding back his own physical stregth. Mikaihatsu was the answer to that riddle, he might not be able to hurt him or even defeat him in any way, shape, or form but maybe he could partially immobilize him with Annoyance. The stronger you were the more sucseptible you were to the technique, but the problem would be setting him up.

The knee Kiwishima had carelessly but amply fired into Mikhail ribcage effectively sank into the meant, cracking two ribs that had been hit on the crest of either curve of bone. The knee push the two halves of the bones back into his lung, a quick stabbing pain consuming his torso. Grasphing the Lieutenants leg with both hands, Mikhail used Seichuu no Netsu Chiyudou #7 to quickly cool the muscles and nerves within his thigh. Viciously he was attempting to cool the muscle and then yank on the leg with great force, tearing the muscle and ripping his tendens and tissues to shreds in Kiwishima's right leg. "I'll tell you right now, Healing Kido are more than just for healing." The cold hard and stoicly statue-esc Captain was malicious in his fights and even his spars. It wasn't that he took things too seriously but his mind switched from its normal day functions into instinct. It mattered not that Kiwishima was a Soul Reaper much like himself, right now in Mikhail's mind, the Lieutenant was no different from a Hollow.
As emotionless as the 4th Division Taichou came off as, he was really just exuding emotion, his expression typically somber or stoic sometimes read hurt, not physically but emotionally. Mikhail was not one to make bonds with others and was often why he was so emotionally distant. While like most people he is intune with his emotions, Mikhail refrains from expressing them through words or actions and instead wears them on his sleeve through his expressions and mannerisms. The history behind it went back to his days in the Academy and his first year as the 4th Division's Captain. In those days he trained to be a healer, wanting nothing more than to make up for his moral sins while living by treating those who were hurt by the likes of which he was all to familiar with. Mikhail during those days was good friend of Death's. While Soul Reapers were already technically dead, Mikhail liked to think of this as their second life of which when they died again were recycled into existance only to live again. He tried hard and often failed to remove his personal feelings from those he was meant to treat. When his patients "died" he felt grave lose and sorrow. Despair would consume his days and only when he was forced to kill a fellow Shinigami, one of his subordinates of the 4 Division who had defected, did he understand that his emotions were his weakness. From that point on, he sealed them away within his heart, voiding them from his mind and becoming who he was today.

Kiwischima realized that he needed to get away quickly or else he might be severely injured in this position. Calming himself he knew what to do he placed his palm pointed directly at the space between them and focused for only a brief second before releasing it, "Hado 4 Byakurai" Kiwishima could never peform a Hado correctly and they always tended to explode right in his face and this time it might work in his favor the Hado formed correctly at first but then only a few inches from his hand violently erupted with smoke and a large shock wave.
Kiwishima impacted the ground hard and pulled himself back up onto his feet, he quickly massaged the muscle and tightened and released to try and wake it back up. He decided this was a good a time as any to try and implement his plan. drawing his zanpaku-to he quickly released it, "Nomeru Mikaihatsu" from it's sealed state and let the ball fall into the grass. Shifting his foot underneath it he slowly released it's first ability. "Annoyance!" the ball shifted into four smaller balls and he quickly flipped one up and pegged it right through the smoke. With out even a second's hesitation he sent a scond one ricotcheing off of a tree at the captain to try and confuse him of the location of the attack.

Smirking wildly, Mikhail took a weightless jump back out of the smoke that resulted from Kiwishima's failed Hado attempt. But then, out of no where a spike in the subordinate's Reiatsu piqued Mikhail's interested. He came to the quick realization that the Lieutenant had released his Shikai form which not was located in for seperate positions, each one containing identical signatures. Chuckling softly however, Mikhail spat out a phrase and then snapped his fingers only to disappear from sight and from spiritual presence. "Bakudo #26. Kyakko." In a bright flash of light that quickly dissipated, the Captains form was gone, all traces of his presence erased. The target that had been headed for him with deadly accuracy just barely sped past him, the Taichou intelligently performing a shunpo to move just inches from where he had previously stood.
Mockingly the 4th Division Captain shunpo'd in a zigzag pattern, releasing and then sealing back up his Reiatsu only to do it again. He was creating false traces of his presence in order to confuse and force Kiwishima to fire off all his Fußball like weapons, each one would then dart about wildly in the meadow and allow Mikhail to sneak up upon and stealthly attack the Lieutenant with a specially crafted Chiyudou in mind. All this require that Kiwishima fell into Mikhail's little ploy or at least stepped into it part way. If the Lieutenant did not, then the Medical Master would be forced to use unrestrained and violent force to overwhelm and overtake Kiwishima. It was all dependant on one thing and Mikhail hoped that the subordinate hadn't grown too familiar with him just yet.

A Devil's sacrifice, or an Angels attack? Kiwischima was rightfully alarmed by the quick flash and the dissapearance of the captain. His first and second ball both hit trees and slowly slid down the bark, since trees never struggled there was no force to keep them stuck in place so they simply sunk to the ground. He had kept the fact of returning them to himself a secret, just like any other captain who called his zanpaku-to he could force it to return to it's master. So he thought meniacly for a moment, if you know you can't win go out with a bang.
Plottting ever furiously he launched one of the balls at one of the reiatsu releases knowing good and well he was attempting to disorient Kiwi. The fourth one he was trying to make a pattern of his jumps, no matter how random a person believed they were there was always a consistent factor, but then again could that really apply to someone who was blind? Or did it apply more because he couldn't see would he have to predict each of his steps individual because the ground was not present before im truly. He found a slight pattern all of the movements were lateral and parallel differences meaning he didn't appear at the same distance or the same line of sight twice. Quickly thinking he measured out both of the maximum steps he had taken and quickly acted. "Bakudo # 4 Hainawa" The twin energy ropes shooting out towards the edges and then very fiercly Kiwishima ripped them inward towards the center. At the same time he expected a Shunpo of some style so he kicked his last ball off towards his rear very hard bouncing it off the tree and sending it hurtling back towards Kiwi's exposed backside. This wasn't full proof by any means, but it was ingenious combining his shikai and a Bakudo to protect himself on all four sides.

Stopping his Shunpo again to release a burst of energy, Mikhail felt his arms become ensnared and tightly strapped to his body. Hainawa! Mikhail was all to familiar with this Bakudo. It was a simple and effective binding spell that was strong and durrable but because of his adeptness with Kido Mikhail could have easily broken free. While he did not in fact break the Kido, Mikhail instead charged forward, twirling his form while jumping in mid air and essentially backflipping over Kiwishima's head. As he brought his legs over his head mid flip, Mikhail radically boosted his momentum and velocity and spotted the "ball" or energy that was heading back towards the Lieutenant. Seizing the opportunity and with careful timed precision, Mikhail wound up and slammed the top of his foot under the ball moments before landing on the Earth again. At near point blank range, Mikhail bicycle kicked the subordinates very own weapon effectively attempting to use it against him.
But often with most things, the outcome was left in the hands of fate. Mikhail knew very well that with most Zanpakuto forms after release that the wielder could often control their weapon and recall it with their mind. This would have proved a dilema for Mikhail had he not turned the balls recall into a sneak attack of sorts. The Taichou, very adaptive and inventive as he was always seemed to figure out some sort of way to turn a situation around and benefit from even the most insignificant seeming things. This is what made Mikhail such a successful and revered Captain. His ability to turn even the bleakest of situations around made him feared by many and respected by even more. Sure, he was the Medical Captain but that didn't mean he couldn't fight. Mikhail was confident in his own abilities so much so that he KNEW for a fact that he could easily go toe to toe with the Hakuda Master and Combat Specialists of the Gotei 13. Argueably, Mikhail was one of the more rounded of Captains, his knowledge and prowess in both Kido and hand-to-hand combat amoungst the most powerful.

A final thought Kiwishima was drastically alarmed as he felt the Captain's movements, when he didn't even stop his attack after being bound under Kiwischima's Bakudo. Kiwishima had closed his eyes in an attempt to accept the pain that was about to be dealt to him indefinately, when the captain moved over him and attacked his weapon. Kiwi had to let out a small smile and wished that he could see the captain's reaction right now.
"In it's released state Mikaihatsu has one ability that is truly your worst enemy. After I activate it with my reiatsu it sticks indefinately to the next person it touches, the secondary effect is that the more force is used to get rid of it the heavier it is. How hard did you happen to kick it? Two hundrd pounds of force?"
Kiwischima knew he was no were near defeating this man, perhaps if he was trained in Shunpo he could get himself out of this situation, but he figured this was going to be the final move. Even with a weight attached to one leg he seemed more than capable of beating the life out of Kiwischima, but it wouldn't be right to just accept defeat. Acting as fast as he possibly could he bent himself backwards and brought his leg up high like in an arc. He filled his leg with as much reiatsu as he could muster and amplified his strength to far beyond it's normal maximum. Upon becoming the lieutenant of squad twelve he had gained access to many of the research files and studied the first forms of Shunko from the archives.

Smiling brightly, Mikhail felt his leg sink into the Earth, a large crater of the ground created from the weight and force. "You tricky b*****d." Laughing softly the Medical Taichou grabbed his left thigh up towards the hip. Squeasing with just the right force and wedging his fingers into the joint, Mikhail dislocated his hip with a loud pop. "Ah, thats better." Grinding his teeth pleasantly, the Captain shunpo'd forward, this time at a much slower rate as he dragged along his limp limb. "I'm not so crazy as I might look. You see, putting that much strain and tension on your muscles trying to lift that much weight easily tears then to shreads. Your tendons are much more elastic allowing me to put more strain on them then on the muscle." Chuckling like some mad insane scientist, Mikhail decided it'd be in his best interest to immobilize his opponent and then proceed to end the battle swiftly.
Seeing his spontaneous plan through, Mikhail picked one of the most successful and effective Bakudo he knew. "Bakudo #61. Rikujōkōrō." Holding out his right hand, a bright light ominously glowed in his palm. Audible to the ear, a static sound quickly filled the air and 6 bars of golden light came flying towards a common target, that being Kiwishima. While Mikhail was intending to immobilize the Lieutenant and end the fight, he knew that killing the child was out of the question, after all, he invited the subordinate here. But Mikhail would do something torturous and lasting to be engraved in the memory of Kiwishima. We'll push his mental limitations to the max and see just what it takes to break him. The second he cries out in pain is the very second this fight is claimed as my win.

Kiwishima was truly impressed by his quick action he took against his trickery. His attack was cut short by the quick firing of the Bakudo, it was something he had never really seen before. Stuck upside down with his Reiatsu depleted, this was the end for him. If only he had grabbed a few more of the trickier inventions for some suprises.
"Now what?" Kiwishima said with an odd grin on his face, he was defeated and he knew it. Kiwischima disbanded his Shikai and it returned to his hand as a basic Zanpaku-to. Mikaihatsu appeared next to hi smiling at his misfortune.
You know I think I warned you about this? You know this next part is gonna hurt bad right, he isn't the type who takes it easy. I wonder if you can get up after this.

((Sorry! I didn't mean to ignore your attack...GAHH! I suck...)) Walking over to Kiwishima Mikhail's face became awash with a sick twisted expression. Gently grasping the chin of the Lieutenant, Mikhail teased, ever so slightly touching his lips upon the cheek of the subordinate. As he did so, Mikhail transfered Reiatsu from his lips into Kiwishima's blood stream. Snapping his fingers, the Reiatsu would activate, sending a strong jolt of electricity through the heart of the Lieutenant. While it would be painful, there would be no adverse affects other than numbness in his limbs and uncontrolled muscle spasms. Continuing his cruel inflictions upon Kiwishima's body, Mikhail also furthered his touch.
Since becoming blind, Mikhail felt an increase in all of his senses but most of all his sense of touch. This was his what his special sight was based off of, like a mole, he felt vibrations in the air and earth to create mental "maps" or images in his head. Sense of touch to Mikhail was regarded as the highest form of sensuality as it was typically in Russian culture.
With all this kept in mind, Mikhail continued to torture and demoralize the Lieutenant. "Don't tell your Taichou." Opening the boys jerkin, Mikhail dragged a finger down his chest, leaving a burn mark as he went all the way down to the waist. Mikhail was exercising, or abusing his talents in Chiyudou to manipulate the Lieutenant to a point where he'd just be awake enough to feel the pain but not to move. In his mind, he'd incompasitate Kiwishima, do unexplainable things to him, scientifically related and then heal him up and send him back off to the 12 Division. As far as Mikhail knew, he was the only homosexual Captain. He therefore seized any chances he had to make advances on lowly shinigami like Kiwishima in order to arouse them and confuze them, make them second guess everything they thought they knew and then fall into Mikhail's guilt trip. It was a corrupt part of Mikhail's subconcious controlled by a being yet to rear its head. In all honesty Mikhail had no control over what he was doing and did it without thought.
