Yeah, so ... I'm having too much fun with Tseng. Wanna play? Let's!

I'll reserve a post or two for a cast list, but otherwise, no serious rules besides respect others, play nice, and no god-mode.

If you want to bring in your own character or a character from another reality (*looks at Kratos*) that's fine, as long as it's appropriate. Sonic and Pikachu probably don't fit in too well. Actually, having Kratos would be kinda cool -- a winged man who's *not* one of Hojo's or Hollander's experiments ....

You can have multiple characters, but try not to take too many from the series -- leave some for other people to play. (; I'll be sticking with just Tseng.

Right now, our setting is approximately around the time before things go entirely crazy with Shin-Ra. It's sort of fluid and slightly outside of canon. If anyone wants to play Genesis or Angeal, let's talk about how you fit into the story. If anyone wants to play Cloud, he's either in Shin-Ra Security or just barely made SOLDIER 3rd Class.

*beepbeep* *holds up a hand for a moment and answers his phone* Tseng speaking. .... Reactor Five? ... When? ... *glances at his watch* We'll be on the next tr-- ... no. We'll take the copter. Tseng out. *hangs up, tucks the phone away*

Come on. We've got work to do.

*waves you into the elevator first and follows after, pressing the button for the roof of one of the short towers*

I'll give you the full briefing in the copter. This is going to require some delicacy.

*slips his hand into his pocket, thumbs his cell phone off for the moment*

There's been another incident in Reactor Five. From the description, it sounds like Wutai saboteurs.

*The elevator door slides open with a soft "ping". The top of the tower is gusty and cold, and the chopper is waiting, the rotors already turning.*

Zack will catch up with us there. It's easier for him to travel alone sometimes; he stands out less that way.

*He remains otherwise quiet until the copter lifts off the ground.*

There are always more eyes and ears in the ShinRa building than I'd like. The copter is generally safe enough; we check it for bugs and cameras regularly.

Heidegger says it's Wutai. As of a few months ago, he'd have been right, except that we mopped up most of the war effort. It could be a last-ditch resistance force, but I'm not so sure. We've seen enough of their modus operandi, and this doesn't seem to fit. They tend to infiltrate under a disguise and make quick, surgical strikes that cripple a lot of equipment without needing much manpower or taking many lives.

This batch is being much more up-front about being Wutai, down to wearing some of the traditional uniforms. And they've made a big mess, with an all-out assault. They've caused a lot of damage and hurt a lot of people.

Ordinarily I'd say it was AVALANCHE. It looks a lot like their kind of operation. Sloppy and imprecise, and not too particular about who gets hurt. But dressing up as Wutai soldiers is outside of what they normally do, and they generally take the credit for their own destruction.

*He pauses for a moment, choosing his words carefully.*

So what we're getting paid for today is cleaning up any leftovers, and making sure these Wutai forces are publicly dispatched with the ruthless efficiency of ShinRa security and SOLDIER. That's what the official reports will say.

Unofficially, we're investigating who really caused this mess, and why. I'd like to hear your theories, if you've got any.

*Tseng's got a few ideas of his own, but none of them fit all of the facts successfully. He wants to hear the new junior Turk's perspective.*

At the words "in the company", Tseng nods slowly, glad to see that the new recruit is working on his wavelength. "Yes, that's something we need to keep in mind. It's happened before, and it's not pretty to clean up. It'd be better for us if it was a new faction."

"By the way -- you know that being a Turk is never really ... temporary." It's a statement, not a question, with a ghost of a smile around the edges of the words.

As the copter sets down on the landing pad, he steps into the cockpit in to speak to the pilot ... a certain red-haired someone. "Pick up Rude and see what you can overhear in the slums. Come back at two. We'll have news then, even if we're still wrapping things up."

There's a quick and sardonic "Sure, boss," from the cockpit, and the rotors slow down.

Tseng accepts the gesture for the door, and steps through first, still slightly wary. He hasn't spent a lot of time with the new recruit, and isn't sure whether it's a gesture of respect, or a setup for a minor ambush. I've been stuck with Reno too long, he thinks. Seeing practical jokes everywhere.

Outside the helicopter, he offers a hand to her to make the step down a little more gentle. "Zack should be here any minute, if he's not inside the air control room already waiting for us. He was supposed to be wrapping up an exercise with Sephiroth, and then getting an airlift here as well."

Zack sighed as he rode to the site of the 5th Mako reactor. "Aww, man. And just when I was going to have some fun too."

The pilot sighed as he geared the copter to land. How anyone could consider working out with the General fun was beyond him. Perhaps it was a SOLDIER thing.

Zack glanced down at the reactor sight. "Hmm, looks like Tseng beat me there. Baah." He flopped over to stare up at nothing.

Seeing Tseng readying his weapon, Ulfheonar fished in her inner jacket pockets and pulled out her knives and double checked them for any flaws or new marks. No going back, not anymore. Here is where I begin. She twirled them around in a show of readiness.

"Excellent. Lets blow this joint. " She grinned at the copter that was still a few feet up in the air.

"Showoff" Ulfheonar muttered, rolling her eyes as the other copter started to fly off. "Hello Zack."
