Hey folks!
Given that we've gotten the FFVII RP rolling, I'm setting up this extra thread for signups and character descriptions, so they don't interrupt the flow of things. I'll maintain the cast list here too.
Sign up here for whatever character(s) you want to play!
Please feel free to post a character description even if you're playing a canon character. It's not mandatory, certainly, but it may be helpful for other players who are less familiar with the story.

I am Tseng, leader of the Turks. The Turks are Shin-Ra's elite investigation and troubleshooting team. ("Investigation and troubleshooting" are frequently, but not always, code words for "blackmail and assassination".) I have been in the Turks since I was young, and earned my position when my superior, Veld, was eliminated for betraying Shin-Ra. I take pains to ensure that my team works well together and follows orders, while causing only the amount of damage necessary for success. I do not talk about my past, nor share my thoughts and feelings very often; such things can get in the way. (This post alone was an effort for Tseng to write; he really doesn't talk about himself much. For those of you who'd like to keep track of what is going on in Tseng's head, feel free to check out his journal. He'll never know you read it -- but please be careful about using that information in the RP unless it's appropriate.)

My name is Karl Roone, SOLDIER 2nd Class. I'd be 1st Class for sure, but for some reason the officer in charge of promotion keeps overlooking me. I don't think he's still sore at me for that bar incident back when we were just grunts, but who knows?
I stand around 5'9" in my SOLDIER uniform. I don't like to brag, but I think I'm pretty strong. I admit I'm no Zack Fair with that giant sword, but I can still lift a good load with these arms.
I fought against the Wutai tribe, but now that Shinra's on top things have gotten really dull. I've gotten fed up with this dead end I've hit in SOLDIER, so I've pulled a couple strings within the company in order to apply to the Turks. They've got style, coolness, and their jobs are never boring.
Right now I'm still applying, but I'm certain I can impress them with my skills. I hear that Tseng is one cool customer, and there's other colorful characters in there. Who knows what they'll make me do to prove myself, but I'm up for whatever they throw at me.
My weapon of choice is a highly modified Shinra Battle Rifle. The battles with Wutai showed me I need some easy-access melee weapon to go with the superior firepower of the Battle Rifle, so I welded a nice blade under the barrel like an over-sized bayonet. I added some plating to the sides so I could block blades with it as well. The shoulder stock can be held like a hilt, so it's an all-in-one weapon. Sure it weighs 2 to 3 times more than a standard rifle, but it works for me.

Hey all. The name's Zack Fair, SOLDIER 1st class. : D
Well, as you know I'm a handsome black haired man, mistaken to be 6'3'', but is really 6'1''. I wield the giant Buster Sword, which was given to me by my mentor Angeal.
I'm friends with both Sephiroth, and a fellow named Cloud, for other members in ShinRa. And Tseng too, but yeah.
I do know Ulfheonar, but thats from running into each other one day in the lounge.
Hm.. is there anything else?

I'm a new Turk, recently accepted. My true talents ride with disguising myself. I'm talented in the art of knives and swords, although I'll never be able to use the Buster Sword that Zack has. I'm better at the smaller and faster weapons, and although I'm not a big fan of guns I can use them well.
I do know Zack, from an incident in the lounge, although I swore I would never recount it. Nor let Zack. *huffs and stares at him*
Often, you'll see my avatar appear different from what is going on. Well, what can I say? Unless noted, please assume that I fit the scenario. ^^

Hi I'm Vachiron Auli. I'll respond to V, Vachi, Vach, or Auli.
I work in the Secretorial department with data. Though I try to work within the system I enjoy hacking and will do so if I can't get the information other wise. Tseng and I have known each other for a while and I'm usually on the other end of his phone converstions.
Given the choice I would rather be at my computers then fighting but if I have to be on the front lines I use Materia and I'm not bad with a gun. Tseng still kicks my but at the shooting range on a regular basis. -_-;
My higth tops out at 5'4"-in the morning right after I wake up. I've always been small and light weight for a boy. And that means a target for bullies, if they could catch me. I'm a very fast runner and excelent swimmer. My balance isn't half bad eiter.

I am Jason Hawthorn, newly promoted management person for the weapons department.
I have been told I am in charge of sorting through paperwork. From what I've seen, it is approvals of weapon and other small, mostly leath...I mean simple crowd control and other such items.
I hope I can be of great help to everyone here!
As far as I've been told, what I'm wearing is fine for office work. I haven't been told if I'm going into the field, but I'm sure I can accommodate if need be!

Greetings. I am Casar van der Lemmer. You may call me Casar. Some people call me "van Dilemma," but be careful what tone you use that in.
I am a Turk. I have been a Turk for some time. While I am part of Shin-Ra, I know all too well that my standing as a Turk takes precedence over any other allegance that might be inferred.
I wear the suit that all Turks do, black with black tie and white undershirt. There is safety in annonymity, so this suits me just fine. I am efficient with knife and gun, though other methods are also handy for achieving the more violent tasks assigned to me.
I am a bit arrogant, rather short with non-Turks, and view those around me from with distrust. Having no aspirations of fame, power, or wealth, I prefer to work behind the scenes. I prefer to have loyalty rather than morals--some might look down on me for this, though I don't care. I take pleasure in my work, and am happiest when working, so I have no social life to speak of.

My name is Sephiroth, SOLDIER 1st. I am the general of a group of specialized men who are a part of the ShinRa army. Lazard is the director of our organization, and is the one to whom I generally refer any questions to. I have been a part of SOLDIER since... for a very long time. As a leader of my men, I make sure that we function as a single unit when the time calls for it.

...*sigh* Hello. You all know me as Cloud Strife. I am apparently involved now, so its nice to meet you. I do come in two flavors. Pregame!Cloud, as you can tell with the blue ShinRa cadet uniform, and Postgame!Cloud with my black wardrobe and sword.
Also, I'm looking for a new name. If you come up with any, I'm listening. I need one. -_-;

Hi~ heart I'm, like, Chloe~ and, like, I'm the Travel Agent for the Turks.
Like, everyone at Costa Del Sol thinks that the Turks are, like, scary but, like, they're totaly nice once you, like, get to know them. Even, like, Rude is nice even though he is toatly, like, Huge. And, I mean, like, the Turk boys are, like, totaly, like, Oh-My-Gawd~, Hawt~ heart
Oh, and, like, I'm friends with Reno~ heart and Shortstuff~ heart and, like, I hope to make more friends~
Oh! And, like, please come visit Costa Del Sol, Shinra's state of the art resort and enjoy all it has to offer~!
