Deep in the northernmost part of Skyreach mountains lies a place of worship known as The Temple of the Sun. This place was made many years ago by monks who worshiped the sun and used it as their natural guide in life. Today it is mostly just a landmark people pray at for good luck, but every four years, during the Summer Solstice when the sun is perfectly aligned, the giant crystal orb shines brightly like the sun and lights up entire mountainsides. Rumor has it, during this four year occurrence the ghost of the Sun God appears and heals the bodily ailments of anyone who prays at it's altar, but this is only a rumor and nobody has ever claimed they've seen the sun God, nor if they were healed.

Jisatsu noticed the mountainous terrain started to make a man made pathway, he was getting closer to the Temple. Jisatsu could just tell by the geography of the path. He went around the base of a mountain and through a narrow gap, and out of nowhere a stone bridge leading right to the Temple. the tranquility of this place was invigorating to Jisatsu as he stepped closer and closer watching his steps on the bridge. He took a closer look and saw the Giant Sun Crystal that loomed withing the open temple. The Sun was breaking through the clouds making light bounce off the crystal and shine brightly everywhere. "It's so amazing..." Jisatsu moved closer in awe, he felt he had to bow in front of the Temple before he set foot onto its stone steps. He then sat himself next to the Sun Crystal and began to meditate...

Dusk sweeps the land with its shimmering presence. The brightest star of day fades with a resiliently burning color of red as it sets out in the distance. The horizon seems to be at its prime in locations such as these. It's a natural wonder of the world that leaves even the coldest of men in awe. The ambiance given off by the setting sun has that natural effect of bringing peace to the stormiest of minds. The evening comes up as the serene landscape, beautifully portrayed by a master designer, the greatest master designer of all, expresses His wonder upon this land. Yes, God is strong within this place.
The golden haired angel sits atop the temple building of an alter to the bringer of the sun. Nothing in this world seems to be of any concern to him, and not just because of the serene air surrounding him at this time, but ever. Neo is not one to become engulfed in the affairs of man, he's not even one to understand it. A great war seems to be lurking beneath the surface of Dawn, somehow the Darkness has become entangled within it, and for all he knows, the legions of Light have something to do with it as well.
As strange as it may be, this angel is the supposed leader of the faction of light. The truth is, he doesn't consider himself as such. Ever since its formation, he's had nothing to do with it. All affairs involving the faction are not under his authorization or supervision. It's pretty much a unit without a leader. Granted, there are plenty in the unit who're well suited to lead, but for some reason, people believe him to be that leader.
There's no doubt that he's made his mark in history, and it is true that he had his hand in creating the faction of light, but a creator is seldom ever the leader as well, so why is he? How did he even get into the position he's in?
Backtracking, the golden haired angel reminiscences over his first encounter with the plains of earth. He descended from the golden gates of Heaven by order of the divine ruler to essentially defend the light that was created. Armed with a mystical weapon, forged by the Great Designer Himself, Neo took it upon himself to enact his orders by vanquishing the unclean spirits of the world, and during those days, there were quite a few.
The thousands upon thousands of demons slain by his blade all had their hand at bringing disorder upon the mortals of the world. It was his duty to vanquish them, eradicate their auras from the face of the earth, and that he did, but with each new age, new beginnings come, new threats, new spirits, new devils. The cycle never ends. Perhaps this is why he's never felt it right to return Home.
Neo's dwelled in this realm for a good thousand years, and with each new generation, each century, better yet, each decade, a newer, and possibly even greater demon than the last emerges from the ethereal corpse of the last with even greater intentions against wreaking havoc against the world. There's no way Neo can feel he's truly served his purpose until it's finally over.
Over the years, he's become a beacon, no a symbol of light to the world. Maybe that's why they perceive him to be the leader of those who've made it their destiny to follow the same path, but despite his angelic mien, he's no Christ.
Despite his incomprehension of the actions of man, in some ways, he's just like them. He doubts his leader capabilities, and prefers not to be branded such a title, but with the endless cesspool of visceral evil in the world, should he put his doubts aside and accept the aid of those wishing to follow him?

Dusk was upon the mountains, and Jisatsu's connection to his meditative state began to fade. The insight he was given in his meditative state was more than a mind would be able to comprehend. He quickly awoke and fell forward, as if he was pushed forward... or kicked out. "What was that?" He asked himself. "It looked like gates to an entire world that I've always known... my mind needs time to interpret all the information I have been given..." Jisatsu continued thinking no one was in the area, at least he couldn't sense a presence. "I must learn more about this.... I'll stay the night here in this temple." He decided as he sat himself down on the several steps that bordered the entire temple. There were no walls in this temple, just pillars that held up an elegant roof, and the crystal in the center of it all. The monks before him must have thought no one would decide to destroy such an open and welcoming sanctuary, and Jisatsu agreed.

He's stayed in that one spot for quite some time. Motionless... emotionless... it's how he's enacted his existence the entirety of his time in this realm. Always in solitude, it's only natural that he doesn't feel suited to lead. To be a leader, one must be sociable, have good people skills, and be able to convey a point that will be well received by the followers.
So if he's not a leader, does that make him a follower? The only one he's ever followed since the time of his creation was his Creator, so follower isn't too far from truth. Some of the genuine mortals of this realm feel as though the best leader is the follower of the Divine, for with Him as a leader, then their fate is supposed to be assuredly prosperous.
Is that what a leader needs to be, a Follower, or is there something more?
Truth be told, Neo finds it rather humorous. The entire situation is on the side of risible. Here he is, the supposed Angel of God, undergoing a common mortal trait of denial. Denial... Uncertainty... Doubt... All attributes of a lack of faith. Angels need no faith. They know truth and only truth, so why is he doubting? Why is he questioning himself? Why is he questioning Truth? Isn’t he above such characteristics?
And now he stops, looking… reflecting upon himself… a killjoy to his own actions. Perhaps it’s good he killed the notion. With doubt comes fear, and fear is only caused by straying away from Truth. I was a fool to become blind. More than often, people stray into darkness from the lack of trust. They lose sight, lose hope, lose reason, and at that moment… fear, doubt, uncertainty… sin breaks in.
A folly, a stumble… All this time in the mortal plane has almost caused what is revered by mortals as one of the highest forces in the air of aither, a quintessence of good. This is why it’s been interpreted by most that Neo, the Golden Haired Angel, Paladin of Light, and Warrior of God is to be the leader of the Holy Knights. This could even be the root reason for his residing in this world: to lead the Holy Knights against the forces of the Deceiver, against the forces of darkness, and against the forces of the impure. It’s time he return to the throne of Heaven’s Army on earth.

After days of travel since she left the azure forest, Shiroka arrived in sight of the Temple. The Queen had spoken about that place since the first day they met. She had visited the place in her youth and was dreaming of going back to pray. The Queen had told her that God was present in that place. That she could feel Him. But life had decided otherwise and the Queen had fallen before her wish fulfilled. Shiroka was there in her memory.
As she arrived the moon was just starting rising, illuminating the place with its pale light. The swan maiden walked slowly. All in her was pale, her skin, her hair, her clothes. She was holding her staff to help her walk. She was a little tired. This place seemed magic to her. The Moon was to her, what the Sun had been to the Queen. Giving her the energy and strength she needed.
As she approached the temple, she stopped. Someone was there on top of the temple. At first she thought that a statue was there...but she saw it move, even so slightly. From the distance she could not tell the colors of his skin or hair. But he was wearing dark clothes...His hair seemed glowing in the moonlight. She stared. His face was emotionless. A statue. She had never seen a being like him before. She was struck by his beauty. He seemed unreal. His beauty was cold, even...scary. Was he a demon? She doubted so... She just felt so ...insignificant in front of him. A feeling increased by the fact that she was down the stairs and him on top of the roof.
She wondered if he saw her coming. "S...Sir? Excuse me...?" she asked. Her soft pale voice echoed around. Her sapphire eyes raised in his direction. What is he...? So absorbed by the being on top of the roof, she did not notice that another man was there, outside of her sight sitting on the steps in the other side of the temple.

Jisatsu awoke from the echoing noise that shattered the silently peaceful mountainsides. As quiet as her voice was, the echoes bounced off the pillars and the mountains making the voice louder than it seemed. He groaned a little, but the silenced himself and rose from where he laid. He tilted his head back and forth making it crack as he turned his head to see a woman. Was she the presence he felt? No, she must have just arrived, it can't be her. It didn't matter who she was in such a place of tranquility. Even if she was a dark knight, but her clothes did not signify being any bit 'Dark' so he assumed Holy Knight. It didn't seem that she was speaking to Jisatsu seeing how she was looking upwards at the roof, but his grogginess made him not pay attention to it and spoke. "Hello..." Jisatsu said cheerfully, his voice sounding like he was still half asleep.

Shiroka was still looking up at the marble like man when a voice came from...right next to her. She started violently, almost dropping her staff and turned to the voice. A man was sitting on the steps. His overall appearance was quite strange and she noticed that his hair seem of the same color as the moon. She looked up and down, wondering if both of them were together and what were their nature.
She gave a soft smile, a little relieved by his friendly ton. She thanked the shadows of the night for hiding her soft blush as he looked at her. She fell in a curtly as the Queen had taught her. She looked at him. "Please do not take offense for I did not notice you..." she whispered. She felt stupid having almost stepped on him and not noticing him. She kept an eye on the cold beauty on the roof. But her smile was addressed to the Moon hair man in front of her. She whispered softly "Are you...a spirit?" She was wondering if surrounded by these two men, both attractive in their own way, she was dreaming or hallucinating.

Jisatsu was puzzled at her assumption. "A spirit?" He began feeling his chest to see if he could phase through himself. "No, I'm no spirit. I'm simply here in search for answers..." He picked himself up from where he laid and gave her a bow of introduction "I'm Jisatsu, bounty hunter, martial artist, and water elemental." He introduced himself holing out a hand of greeting, but noticed she was still distracted. He was obliviously unaware of the man on the roof's presence. As far as he knew, he thought it was only Jisatsu and her.

Shiroka smiled at his ease of interacting with her. She was not used to met new people and never really know what humans would say or do. As he raised he was taller than she was and she felt even more intimidated. She stopped paying attention to the man on the roof and looked at Jisatsu with a shy smile. She introduced herself in response to his introduction. "I am Shiroka." she said with her pale voice. She hesitated, should she mention the Red Guard? Technically she wasn't part of it yet. So she kept it quiet. "I am here to pay my respects to the Queen." she said with some confidence, not realizing that her purpose might sound strange to the man standing in front of her. Before any reaction came to the man, she added "Is he with you, Lord Jisatsu?" she pointed at the man on the roof.

Jisatsu was distracted by the fact that she mentioned him as 'Lord' Jisatsu, that he didn't notice the question she asked. "Lord Jisatsu? You honor me too much, just call me Jisatsu.... wait, who's with me?" He stepped down from the steps and saw the statue of a man on the roof. He seemed so caught up in his own train of thought that he was in a catatonic trance-like state, literally like a statue. "So that's who showed up, I've had this strange vibe of a presence ever since I got here, turns out it was him... He won't be any trouble, I'm sure of it. If he wanted any trouble he looks like he would have done it by now." Jisatsu said returning back to where he stood before except sitting down on the steps. "So, respect to the Queen, huh? I'm not sure exactly who you speak of, could you elaborate that for me?" Jisatsu asked.

Shiroka blushed as he told her to call him Jisatsu. "I will try Lo...Jisatsu." she said shyly. As he stepped back, she looked at the marble like man on the roof. She nodded in approval with the moon hair man's comments. She indeed did not feel any threat from the man...but he felt...so strong.
As Jisastu questioned her on the purpose of her being there, she first mumbled, not really knowing what to say. "Hmmm...the Queen...my Queen..." she smiled and thanked the moon for hiding the red ton which her cheeks took. She breathed slowly and tried to relax, then spoke. "The Queen who...raised me...loved this place...she was never able to...visit here a second time." she said painfully. "So I am here to see that place for her." she added with a smile, hoping that it would make more sense...although she doubted it.
She paused. "And you Lor...Jisastu...what led your feet to this beautiful and peaceful place?" she asked.

Jisatsu couldn't help but notice her struggle to speak to him, she kept pausing and stuttered when she tried to say his name, trying not to refer to him as lord. When she asked for his purpose here he looked back at the crystal ball in the center of the temple, the moonlight shining dimly down on it and brighting up the area with a white-bluish glow. "I guess the best place to start is the beginning. I fought a dark knight not long ago, he defeated me and left a few scars. I sought for revenge and trained for our next confrontation, and when we fought a second time he showed me our first fight was only the beginning... I escaped with the smallest chance I had of survival... So now I find myself here searching for answers of what I must do now... I'm a freelancer, I have no home, no job, my goal in life is simply to survive now, I pray here for answers to see if the spirits can give me purpose." He explained.

Freedom...a dark knight... Shiroka somehow relaxed that the man in front of her fought a dark knight...that meant that he, himself, was not one of them. But his loneliness somewhat echoed in her thoughts, mirroring her own loneliness since the death of the Queen. She smiled at him, with a soft touch, as if she was trying to 'comfort' her, although she was so small, tiny and insignificant.
"I hope that you will find answers, Jisatsu." she started slowly, her voice still soft, as if she did not want it to echo in the mountains again. "But I hope...that you will find more than that...that you will find...a purpose." Her last words were pronounced with her eyes into his eye. That was the first time the maiden really dared watching his face with such an obvious way. He seemed older than her and having seen much more battle than she did. The proof was his eye hidden behind a protection. She could not help but admire the color of his hair and eyes, so close to the silver of the moon. She realized that she was ostensibly staring at him and flushed, looking away to admire...her feet.

Jisatsu smiled at her comforting and soft words. "Well, thanks. They say actions speak louder than words, but your comforting voice speaks louder than any other action." Jisatsu complimented and turned his attention back to the crystal orb, staring at it in a trance-like state. It was as if he was trying to see if there was someone trapped inside of it or something. He looked down at his feet watching a bug crawl past them and then drew his attention to the moonlit sky. It was silent for a split second and then an owl perched on a tree behind the temple began to make a sky piercing whoing sound to destroy the awkward silence.
