Vegita trained as a child and it took him longer than anyone to transform to SS.

i think i figured this one out. its firstly because they are HALF-saiyans, gohan did it when he was about 10-12 and he first started training at 4.5. so it took him only really 6-8 years to do it. Future trunks really never Formally trained, but he fought powerful androids and it finally took gohan dying to turn him and he did it at about 12-14, goten and baby trunks trained since they were able to which took them 6-8 years so basicly the reason is the half saiyans have the human emotion to drive their saiyanisim to the next level

Actually, no. Well, yes and no. Vegeta and Trunks, yes. Goku and Goten, no. Goku was dead before Goten was born, and they didn't even meet until the World Tournament at the beginning of the Buu Saga.

the one goku trained like crazy -was gohan in that time chamber place. =D
he wasn't much of a father to poor goten. ]:
chichi on the otherhand was a great mom to both her kids. x] but she went easy with goten when it came to studying ;D

Both Vegeta trainied Trunks to become a super sayain and Gohan and Chi-Chi trained Goten tro become a super sayain.

i think ive figured it out, it also explanes why pan is so freakishly strong, the kids starting power level depends on the parents power level during conception, Bardock and King Vegita were somewhat weak when they made goku and vegita, goku was stronger when he made gohan so gohan was stronger, both goku and vegita were way stronger when conciving goten and trunks and gohan was a BEAST when he concived Videl
