Orochi Order Campaign

Valentine Day

Start Date: May 12

After his attack on Konohagakure, a hidden village of ninjas, the Orochi general, Orochi Valentine, has taken base in a place settled in the country of the same village, in an abandoned temple which he has now made his base. With this base, he tends to plan his next attack, which should allow him to take over the entire land. However, his location has been found by both Konoha and an agency known as LAW, a secret organization with the task of cracking down on the crimes that the normal world will not know of, such as the Orochi Order’s presence. Now, both organizations, unknowingly of the other, are deploying their forces to make an attack onto the base and to destroy Orochi Valentine and his foes before he can make his first move.

Setting

Valentine Day takes place in the Country of Fire, part of a collective continent of ninja-based countries. The season is currently spring, though a chill occurs once in a while. From the Village of the Leaf, the base of Orochi Valentine exists ten miles west and one mile south, located in deep forestry where his base resides, a temple of ruin, yet now inhabited by the Orochi and his force of demons, thus, the entire forest is currently under his control up to a 1000 yard radius. Humanoid demons patrol the grounds with their beastly mounts, winged wyverns watch from above, and other enemies lie in wait to those who dare intrude through the dark, foggy forest.

Premise

You have learned of the mission to dispose of this world terrorist, Orochi Valentine, be it through being a member of Konoha, a mercenary who saw the ad of the need for a team of special forces to invade this base, or maybe even a random person who just so happened to catch word of such a thing and decides to go on your own to deal with the problem. Whatever is your reason, it must be a valid reason for you to know of the threat and thus, take it upon yourself to carry out whatever goals you have for it.

LAW's Call

Dear Mercenaries of Gaia,
This is a call for the skilled and the brave in an effort to keep the world of Gaia safe from the forces of those who wish to do harm upon them. A vile enemy known as Orochi Valentine is planning a major attack in a far off country in order to further expand his territory. To prevent this from happening, we ask for a team of fighters with the skills necessary for getting into the base and defeating this terrorist. Be warned, this mission is highly dangerous, but with its difficulty comes great pay. If you have what it takes to accept this task, please come to the Durem Armed Forces base on Saturday at 9:00 AM.

Sincerely,
LAW

Konoha's call will be given through roleplay at their thread by their superior. This rp is working in relation with the thread's link: Konoha, Hidden Village in the Leaves.

Rules

- Respect for your fellow roleplayer will always be expected, so resolve any problems before they happen, be it through brief ooc or PMs. If it's something to do with the roleplay and is too controversial between the opposing parties to settle, a mod can be called upon in the GM Request thread where you can ask questions and settle other roleplay-related things.

- The rule above happens often when it comes to godmodding. If you do it, you will be called upon for it if not able to give a valid reason. And even if you do, it does not assure you getting away with it. This is meant to be a fair, fun roleplay, and some sacrifices can be made in the effort to keep the roleplay going. Remember that.

- Obey the GMs of this rp. You may come to hate or like them, but whatever they say, listen to them. It does not mean you cannot debate with them on a wrong call. You have the right to do that and it won't get you kicked out or frowned upon. However, a GM still has the last word in the end, but we will do our best to give reasonable conclusions. We aren't here to be your enemies, but your friends.

- If you are going to roleplay in this rp, you should keep at least a daily post. However, this rp will be moving fast or slow, depending on the pace of others' posting, so keep yourself safe by keeping present often. If your character is part of a major scene, then you will be more obligated to post more. But, if you go absent for days, with or without notice, you will be GMed by a GM to continue the roleplay. If you do have days you be absent, then you can make a note of them in the Notice of Absence thread.

How To Join

Submit your profile then start roleplaying. If you are with No Group, you can choose to start in the North Forest or the South Forest.

All profiles will be accepted, even after the rp starts. But there will be a time when no more can be accepted, due to being too late into the story. So if you're planning to be in it, it is safe to enter it now than later. Even if you have submitted a profile early, if you decide to enter your character late into the story, you will likely not be allowed in depending on the situation.

As for format, all character profiles follow a similar make up. You can use a current profile that you have already made or the template below. Just remember that if you are entering into this rp, show some effort placed into your character. However, all profiles should have a "Purpose in Valentine Day rp" section added to it. In this section, explain why your character is coming into this event. Did they see the ad from LAW wishing for the expertise of skilled warriors? Are they a member, or at least close enough in relationship, to the Konoha village to be allowed to come onto a mission to bring down Valentine's base? Or are they the random fighter seeking action solely for himself? It's your choice, just make sure it's reasonable.

When you are entering your character, be advised that in this roleplay, there will be regulations, meaning there will be limitations placed on your character in what they can do. This is to allow for a fair-going roleplay that will lower the amount of possible godmodding. I can understand if someone is a pure human who can only use a crowbar as his best weapon. But I won't tolerate the typical omnipotent character who can do anything in any situation. If you're using a jack-of-all-trades, then he or she should be a master of none. For example, having a character that knows five skills should be not be as experienced in any one skill as a master of one those skills. The trick here is to balance your character appropriately, by distributing their experience over their skills. If a fighter has one only one good skill, then it's easy to say they are a master at it. But as the skills grown, the smaller the experience becomes in each skill. If anything, two skills should be enough to claim a good amount of hardwork in.

If you need any assistance in creating or balancing a current character profile, go to the Character Creation Thread hosted by Arcturus Highwind.

If something is questionable in your character's profile, you will be notified to maybe changing it. This isn't meant to butcher your character as he/she is. Just they may be turned into a more fitting version for use in this roleplay. This means, you will likely have two profiles of your character: one for when you rp regularly around Gaia and the one for this particular event. But it is a preference to just use one single profile for your single character, so that what happens here will change them afterwards in the outside world.

Then, there's experience. If your character has participated in previous Orochi Order events, and have developed something from those events, then it's likely to be carried over into this one, assuming it's legit. This is a way to allow a person to build their character even more to be more fit in future roleplays. Though the development won't be that significant so early, there should be a notable change later on, be it by some statistical attribute or obtaining of something of value. So if you're planning to be participating in the Orochi Order events for a while, entering early is a good thing to do. You may get rewards that will benefit you in the future.

For now, each roleplayer can only enter a max of two characters. And furthermore, you cannot use your second entry until your first one is removed from the rp, be it by reasons such as being ko'd, killed, not wishing to participate anymore, or being just unable to be used in some other way.

All character profiles should be submitted at the Registration thread.

Character Template

Quote:

Name:
Race:
Age:

Physical Description: (You can use a picture reference, but also explain important physical marks such as hidden tattoos, as well as what your character likes to wear.)

Personality: (Don't need a paragraph if you do not wish to, but place some effort here.)

Skills: (What non-magic skills do your character possess? Can they play an instrument, cook, swing a sword, sew. Be specific of what are primary skills, secondary, and minor to your character. If your character has a move list specific to a skill, list it here.)

Abilities: (The out-of-the-norm skills of the character. This is where things like magic, the supernatural, and anything else similar to it are listed. Again, show where your character's expertise in each lies. This is also the place to list a move/spell list if your character has one.)

Equipment: (What items does your character possess? For this event, what items will your character bring? Though during roleplay, you can note what your character currently carries. So, if they bring a truckload of guns, it's likely that they will only take a much smaller portion of it with them when they walk around. )

Purpose in Valentine Day: (Place here why your character is coming into this event.)

Biography: (This could perhaps be the most important part of your character's profile for it's where you should explain about all about your character and give reasons for why your character is how they are. It's a good place for someone to explain some abnormal things about their character. Such as how they gained a certain power or gained a phobia. To avoid claiming of a bad character, details are your friend. But you also do not have to supply much. Just know that you will be subject to less leeway.)
