It seems that the picture is back home, so I'll have to see if my mum can bring it up for me sometime. Then I'll scan it in. 3nodding

I like the different cultures or the different people. When I travel.

I think it's also a good thing for people to get out of their "safe zone" and see other cultures. It creates more of a global understanding.

I agree. I'm going to use my dad as an example for a moment. The first time I took him to a Japanese restaurant, he walked inside and just stopped. When I asked him what was wrong, he said nothing. He told me that he hadn't pictured the restaurant to be as nice as it was, because he was expecting some kind of culture shock. But that made me happy, because the restaurant made a good impression, and I'm always thrilled when my dad enjoys something that I enjoy. 3nodding

Yeah, my Mom never wanted to go to Japan before. Then when I came home the first time with all my pictures she was amazed at how clean everything was. sweatdrop Now she's pretty interested, but is still wary because she thinks that she won't be able to eat any of the food... which is rubbish. I mean, I survived over there and I can be rather particular about what I eat.

Speaking of Japanese food, my boss was yakking on the phone yesterday and he mentioned sushi. I looked up from whatever I was doing and said fairly loudly, "Mmm... Sushi..." My boss looked at me and said, "You like sushi?" I said, "Oh, yes! I love it!" And, as usual, he proceeded to complain about it being raw, thus resulting in me having to explain the mechanics of preparing sushi and the numerous differences between the different kinds of sushi, as well as prices and recommendations. rolleyes

For me, it's often the journey more than the destination that I love the most. smile
I love watching the sunrise from an airplane window ... it's a feeling like leaving every bad and painful thing in life behind and travelling to freedom and joy. smile
