I think more commonplace ailments would pack more of a punch because it's less far fetched or cult-classic. I think we should plan a session to all write on this, or at least get s few of us together. We'll never get anything done at this pace.

Well, the way I was thinking, the religious "cult" becomes the governmet in power after the grea war. Not only in one country, but almost globally. I've had a lot of ideas on ths recently.

There are many sicknesses that can have come about by genetically engineered viruses, biowarfare, or simply as the result of the deterioration that happened during the war.

In my idea, the government is led by the great grandson of the original leader of the sect, having been passed down hereditarily after the war.

My idea also includes a lot of covert conspircy whereby certain members of government actualy help the terrorist group because a world in terror is one ready to give in to any government.

I have a lot of ideas on this topic, but would rather converse than post.

*sigh* alright this is a little ridiculous. Well, I hope this will pick up, and in the meantime I'm debating starting up workshops in the solo-writers area and maybe starting up some rps...

Alright, so I was watching a documentary on the ocean today, and it gave me plenty of ideas for the story.

In the ocean there re things called deadzones, where nothing lives because the oxygen evels have depleated to nothing. This gave me the idea for deadzones and toxic zones in the story. Most of the cities will have been build in areas with some oxygen left, and work on a filtration system as mentioned before. Furthermore, the richer (government) people could live in complexes where they have engineered environments and ecosystems to keep the air clean, rich in oxygen, etc.

Most people couldn't survive outside cities because there's really no way t knwo you are entering a deadzone except tha oxygen would slowly deplete leading up to it. Furtermore, it would take sophisticated technology, which only few have, to know which toxns are in the air (where there is air) and what technologies can work against it.

Also, I was thinking that instead of hazmat soons certain groups (probably only the rebellion and very few others) have engineered a echnology similar to a cream filled with certain organisms and "machines" (nanite like) for lack of a better term, that coats the skin so that it cannot be penetrated by toxins, can stay oxygenated, and can (if need be) work on a cooling system similar to space suits.

There was more, and I have some notes, but I want to know what people think of these ideas before I move on.

By the same power source as al the gadets and advances technology, that's something we stil have to determine. They save some power by putting the vegetation on life support rather than themselves, but it will take a lot of power (and a lot of selfishness for not sharing it).
