Cloverfield: The Guild is a place to discuss JJ Abrams' produced movie, Cloverfield.
It all starts with a "going away" party where the shot was seen though a handheld camera angle where the recorder was going around asking questions about the man going away. While everyone is all having fun a strange sound is heard and the whole building shakes, knocking out most lights and electricity. The cameraman moves up to the roof with all of the other guests and looks around as they see a large explosion in the distance and flaming debris shoots everywhere. Everyone goes outside and people are running away from whatever is causing the destruction. The cameraman begins to move the camera around and a man running by yells "I can't believe it, it's alive! It's huge!" Everyone looks ahead and something on fire launches towards them, when it lands you see the disembodied head of the Statue of Liberty. It all fades to black.
