<center>Story</center>

Do you believe in magic? Probably, after all, there are so many vampires, sorcerers, and werewolves that live in Gaia it is hard to deny its existence. But even though magic is still alive in us today, it has lost most of it’s former glory. And as it dwindled away from us, so did some of the creatures that were connected to it, and through it to us.

It was one of those days that made you wonder whether or not staying at home would have been a good idea. First the weather forecast had promised a mild day perfect for outdoor activities. So being a practicing earth mage I had packed up my belongings and headed out for the woods. But the forecast couldn’t have been more incorrect if they had tried. Surprise, surprise! The day was not only hot, it was sweltering with an almost unbearable humidity level.

Still I kept on my way to the woods, figuring once in the midst of the majestic trees it would be cooler in their shade. Of course my luck seemed to have decided to take a vacation that day. Yes the forest was cooler, naturally seeing that most of the sunlight was blocked by the lush trees. But it seemed that a family of foxes had made a home in the place that I usually used for my magic. After a rather rash argument, that ended up in me having some bite marks on my arm, here I had thought foxes were shy creatures, I decided that it was for the best to just find a different place to perform my magic.

That of course, is easier said then done.

Following my senses to the next strong flow of energy I ended up in a small clearing. It was a pretty place, with a natural spring crossing the side of it. I noticed how peaceful the place was and decided that this was the spot. Unpacking a few of my things first I then settled down on a log to meditate and clear my spirit. Just it seemed that the log had his own idea about it and let out an indignant squawk.

Startled I jumped and turned. Logs couldn’t speak…. Right? A second later I felt something small thumb my chest and stay there. I looked down and almost did a double take. Did I accidentally awaken one of the fairy folk? I hadn’t felt their magic anywhere near. As I stared a bit confused at the tiny being that was clinging to my clothes it looked up at me and let out a screech.

“A human! I found a human!”

Okay…. That was weird. As the being looked up at me I took my time studying it. It was about 11 inches tall at most, a long rope of dark brown hair hanging down its back. A set of draconic like wings spread from her back, seeming to keep her suspended in the air. As she grinned up at me I could see small fangs and I started hoping that this thing was friendly, and didn’t consider me a snack. The magic surrounding it felt odd, almost soothing.

“I am Shaoly. I’m a Shejin, at least, that’s what you humans used to call us.”

Shaoly… so it was a she. After another long look I confirmed she was definitely female. She looked like a miniature woman with wings. I seemed to be recalling the name though. Hadn’t the Shejin been mentioned in an old book that I had once read? If I recalled right they had been as small magic beings with draconic traits… I looked at Shaoly and she seemed to fit the bill. But these beings had been lost to us… or had they?

As it turned out, I wasn’t exactly able to get rid of her. She had been so exited to see a human being again, that she followed me home. Not a big problem really, but… for some reason she seems to believe that I can take care of every single Shejin egg that she brings to my house….. And believe me… one is a handful.

So I decided to give out the little charges to suitable guardians to take care of them. Now that this ancient race has been rediscovered, it would be a shame to loose them again.

<center>Sale Rules</center>

I know, I know... more rules. But I rather get things clear now and save us all some stress in the future.

Flatsale Rules

1. No begging/whining/guild-tripping. Flatsales are held as RP prompts, so even if you have a slow connection you should have enough time to submit an entry. If you shouldn’t make it there’s always a next time.

2.You can’t buy for someone else. Since flatsales are judged by how well you RP you can’t stand in for one of your friends. You are more than welcome to do that for the auctions or raffles though.

3. Cost is 3K (price may change if drawing is getting too time-consuming) There will be no arguing about this, sorry.

4. Flatsales start and end when I say so. I go by my clock, that way I know the timespan promised was given. No one else can start or end sales in my stead. Same goes for auctions and raffles.

5. Have fun. After all, it’s a game no?


Auction Rules

1. No whining or discouraging others from bidding. Again, just the common courtesy rule.

2. No withdrawing bids. Doing such will get you on the blacklist.

3. Again, have fun.


Raffle Rules

Raffles will all be set up the same unless otherwise specified.

1. Be courteous.

2. Payment I due after ordering tickets. I will not put you up on the list unless you paid. Tickets will be 100g a piece, 5 per person.

3. First come first serve. I will go by posts on the thread for this not by who’s payment came in first.

4. Be patient. I doubt this will ever be an issue but if there are 50 people sending trades at once it will take a second to get to everyone. I’ll hurry I promise.

5. Once more, have fun.

After the sale/raffle/auction you’ll receive your tagged Shejin and once they are hatched also a larger version of the picture if you want it for your journal upon your request. You’ll have to host these images yourself because my space and bandwidth is limited. Sorry -__-.



RP guidelines

These pets are RP required. Which means at least one entry in the journal per week, and a hello on the thread every once in a while. Why? Because it takes me a lot of time to draw these, color, ink, scan, clean…. You get the idea.

If I notice you are not RP-ing and/or posting in your journal you will receive two PM’s with a warning. Should you not reply or start posting soon after I WILL take away your pet without refund. If you thing that is too much trouble for this little picture don’t get one, saves us both some grief.

The Shejin personality trade is set by ME and can only be changed slowly through RP. I can’t stress this enough, humans don’t change their personality on the drop of a dime, neither do the Shejin. Don’t worry, I will provide the personalities that go with the type before each flatsale, so you’re not buying the proverbial cat in a bag. But once you got a Shejin, that’s the one you’ll have to stick with, and slowly evolve it into something else.

Shaoly is about the only one that really knows anything about the Shejin and the special care that they need. So it is her who will guide guardians through the different stages of their Shejin. Do not be surprised by sudden visits.

-O…kay. You can always obtain one on the flatsales, just don’t write like that >.o… I might not be from this country but even I recognize proper English from l33t. Speak/write in a way that it doesn’t annoy everyone else.

2. If I pay you double… can I get one now?
-Let me think no. You can however go straight to the blacklist.

3. It’s really unfair. There are so many RP-ers out there better than me. I’ll never make it on the flatsale.
- There is no such thing as a better RP-er in my opinion. Just some people can write better about certain situations. There are still raffles and auctions where there will be no RP prompt.

4. How much do you charge?
- Currently 3K due to the fact that I spend hours on each type drawing all the stages. No two Shejin are alike so everything is separately drawn colored and inked. If the drawing will get more tedious the price might go up, though I’m not planning on it.

5. Can I order a custom?
- Errr no. I’m not really inclined to do customs unless it’s for a pretty pet trade (see list below) and even then the only thing that you can customize is type (no doubles allowed unless it’s breeding, sorry) colors, and clothes (provide samples if possible). I’m limited on poses that I can draw, so I will pick those. Also the personality will still be determined by me.

6. So if I have a petshop I can do a pet-trade?
-Errr…. If you’re on my wish list. If not post on the thread that you’re interested in doing a pet-trade that is not on the list and give me a URL. I check it out and go from there, after all, there is no possible way one can see ALL the petshops that exist on Gaia.

7. Can you add me to your mailing-list?
- I’m sorry to tell you… I don’t have a mailing list, nor will there ever be one. I’m busy enough as it is sorry. Just bookmark the thread and swing by every so often. I will announce sales and the such with enough ahead warning.

8. Can I work for you, helping in the shop?
- Well, I really already have all the help that I need with my friends… thanks for the offer though. That was very thoughtful.
