When you enter the building, you’re confronted by a small petite figure. It’s
definitely a woman, and she greets you with a full smile, and a kind hand
shake. After you exchange hellos, and good morning, she starts to explain.
“Hello and Welcome to G.A.C. Would you like to know more-” she holds out
her hand to direct you inside the cozy building. “Then let me give you the
tour. The Gaia adoption center was founded by the first Lady Marilyn, but
now it is run by her great, great grand daughter, I, Ms. Marilyn. Therefore,
it has been passed down from family to family member. Through all the
Marilyns, the building and what it works for hasn’t changed a bit. The G.A.C
doesn’t let down any children, no matter the cause. Sick, alone, worried, it
doesn’t matter. No child is put down. The staffs at G.A.C are capable of
taking care of any situation so why would we put any children out? We
have a local doctor, two full time nurses, three nursery staff members,
cooks and cleaners, two counselors, and several volunteers that just like to
“hang out” with the older kids, and help out with other activities.
Speaking of activities, we have paddle boats for the outback lake, as well
an indoor pool that reverts to an outdoor pool when it isn’t that chilly. Also,
a active hiking course accompanied by the horse riding trail. A small
garden half by staff and half by our own children directly outside, and a
small walk to the left will lead you in the direction of the park which also
has a picnic area located to the side.
Other then activities you will probably want to know some things about the
building itself. Well, from the front door there are three hallways.” She
points as she speaks. “Straight leads to the kitchen, dining room, and
family room that most children find relaxing for the big windows that show
off the small garden in the back. To the left you will find outside doors, and
the game room that most children call the “Fun hall” for during the day
entertainment. To the right you will find a hallway with two doors, one is
labeled boys and one is labeled girls. These two bathrooms are well-sized
and can be accompanied by the average amount of children all at one time.
As you continue to walk down the hall you can see the nursery on the left,
and sleeping cribs on the right made especially for our littler ones.
Further down you can see three doors. The one directly in front of you
leads to the sub-living room which is opened until roughly 9:00pm to the
children. This room includes three TVs, game systems, and of course some
sitting areas. If you go to the left you will find the boy’s rooms, and to the
right you will find the girl’s room.
Well, I think I have pretty much explained myself, you can find the main
office at the front, and you can tell the desk lady to get me if you need me.
Make yourself at home, and stay as long as you need in order to make the
right decision. The kids should be waking up for breakfast in about…”

she smirks “That’s the bell; I would clear the hallway before
you get trampled by children.” Marilyn walks back towards the front,
and turns to give a slight smile, and a wave before entering the
