We have decided to KILL this contest. We will be handing out
prizes to those we enjoyed. Thanx for your entries. Sorry,
for any inconveniences this may have caused.
We appreciate EVERYTHING we have gotten and the bumps
and luff this thread has recieved.

an art contest

welcome
This is an art contest in which you can win a share of 2.3 million in gold and
items for drawing one of three Gaians: Tandemonium, Pixel Shifter and Sheeep.

deadline
This contest started accepting submissions on January 1st, 2007, and
will close for judging on May 7th, 2007.

rules
We have a few rules. Look at them. Learn them. Love them.

the deadline is the deadline.
We stop accepting entries at 11:59 PM PST, May 7th 2007. Absolutely no art
submitted after that time will be considered for prizes.

absolutely no whining about anything, ever.
We all know the one thing that plagues all art contests is whining. People
whine about deadlines, media requirements, details, and who won what.
Be a champ. Don't whine.

your entry must be finished original art.
Don't enter someone else's art as your own, and don't recycle art you've
already created for another purpose. Make something original for the contest.
Entries must also be of FINISHED QUALITY. No works in progress or rushed
scans, please.

be proud of your work, and be respectful
If you're going to go to the trouble of entering art, make sure you're proud
of it. You're not going to win any sympathy (or gold) by posting self-
deprecating comments or being rude to someone else. Come on. Really.

you may enter as many times as you like
Just remember, quality ranks higher than quantity.

uh... what?
Yes. Pixel shifter is a transvestite werewolf. He's
married to Tandemonium in real life (and here
on Gaia, naturally). He runs the Nightmare Cafe,
does some light graphic design and b***h-slaps
the ignorant with pure indignation.

categories
Pixel Shifter is accepting contest entries for the following categories.
If you have any questions about Categories or Themes, please PM him.

For prizes to be awarded, at least 20 entries must be submitted before the deadline. If less than 20 are submitted, prizes will be awarded as Pixel sees fit.

werewolf
Pixel Shifter is a werewolf. He's not an anthro wolf, a furry, an otherkin or any of that other crap.
He is a monster, and should be drawn with an emphasis on the grotesque and bestial.

• these images should be used as references for head, face, hands and feet.
• other reference images can be found here.
• he does not have a tail.
• his fur colour is dark grey with a blue tint (#4b4f56) and his skin is slightly lighter (#797c82).
• his skin has faint darker freckles and spots.
• you can colour his claws black or pale yellow. His hands are hands with claws, not animal paws.
• he does not have fur on his fingers, palms, toes, the bottoms of his feet or his face. See the
photos linked in the first point for details.
• his legs / feet are plantigrade, not digitigrade. That is, he is not a "toe-walker".
• he is unusually prissy about his feet. The more time and care you put into drawing them,
the happier (and more generous) he'll be.

transvestite
While in human form (and often while in werewolf form), Pixel Shifter dresses in women's clothing.
He is a transvestite and dresses up for fun, pleasure and the joy of screwing around with society's
traditional gender roles. He rarely attempts to pass for female, and regardless of how he is dressed
exhibits an unflinching devotion to his rabbit mistress Tandemonium.

• can be either human or a werewolf
• if human, his hair colour ranges from black to burgundy and is usually straight and shoulder-length.
• outfits range from causal to conservative business to Tank Girl bizarreness.
• often dresses as a sissy maid while serving his mistress.
• loves stockings, tights and knee-high socks.
• collects shoes obsessively and can walk comfortably on 4" heels.

Midnight b***h Black Lipstick) and lots of black and red.

He may seem like a permanent crab-apple, but Pixel's actually a big softy. He's clumsy, sensitive
