Welcome to Katherdante and Crisscoula's first ever joint Art Contest!
All medias, styles and skill levels are welcome!

The focus of the contest is Kat's cat girl and Criss' avatar inspired OC.
We have a private RP where the two are a couple.

This contest will be accepting pieces starting December 1st
You may submit a work in progress up until, January 1st February 20th
After that no new entries will be accepted for this contest.
Finished pieces are due by January 8th March 12th.

'Good' Personality--->

Criss is a kind person who tries to be thoughtful of others and has a naturally sweet disposition. Because of his natural charisma and cravings for attention people generally like to give it to him. Despite the fact he loves to be close to people he finds this hard to do on many levels because he doesn't want to hurt the people that become close to him when he transforms into his 'evil' side. The only way he could get rid of the mask and therefore his occasional transformation would be to give it to someone else. This is a burden he has decided to carry, as he could never bring himself to put it on another person.

<---'Evil' Personality

When Criss dons the mask his body becomes far more muscled and his personality changes completely. In actuality his body is being possessed by an entity that is trapped in the mask. It is currently of unknown origin, though through its mannerisms it can be described as 'viking like'. It likes nothing better than to dominate others. The possession is occuring through a combination of Criss and this other 'entity'. While it is something that is not exactly Criss himself, it also cannot be said that it is not him at all. Criss is present enough that he remembers all that he did while transformed.

Criss was originally born with blond hair and his parents were both German. Living in Germany up till the age of 5, when his parents divorced and his father moved to England, taking Criss with him. They lived on the tiny island at the south of England called ''the isle of wight''. Criss never saw his mother again. His father was a Pagan, following the religion of the Norsemen.

Crisscoula, known as Christopher among the English, spent most of his time doing acrobatics. Being naturally flexible and he loved the challenge of it. He started to grow his hair long after he turned 10, wanting to be like the rock stars he had always admired. When he was 16 his father died, leaving him the house and a lot of money that he had saved for him through the years.

Criss dyed his long hair the earthy green color he always had wanted it to be and then joined a traveling circus as an acrobat. He loved the attention from the crowds he got and loved being different. Especially with his unusual long horns that adorned at the top of his head and the strange bunny tail. His nickname being ''jack the jackolope'' the earthy god. At least thats what the posters said. At 18 Criss was given an unusual present by one of his 'fans'.

It was a mask that gave off an uncomfortable feeling as he held it in his hand. Turning the mask round and gazing into the darkness on the inside it quickly lured criss into put it on, which he did with little protest. After his first experience with the mask he woke up to find that someone had been murdered. He couldn't remember much, but he was uneasy and quickly hid the mask in one of his bags. The police had collected various samples from the body, one of which was a piece of green hair. They tested the DNA but it didn't match to Criss even though it was clearly his. The evidence was not enough to point to anyone as there was no DNA match. The murderer was never found. Criss left the troupe soon after.

He took the mask with him, seemingly unable to dispose of it and over time discovering more about it as he continued to wear it. Realizing it was the protection he needed from it when he decided to move to America on his own, a month before his 20th birthday.

Kat's Personality:

Kat is a spirited girl with an open mind and a uncanny affinity for string. She is
an empath, possessing the ability to naturally understand other people and empathize with their feelings. Unfortunately this ability also makes her petite body very sensitive, just stubbing her toe can hurt a lot. She is a faithful friend who enjoys being around her close ones and doing thoughtful things for them. Because of her loving and giving nature people who become close to her tend to forgive her varied faults; she is easily distracted, naps frequently and often tries to pet things that aught not to be petted. In other words she is very much like a cat, lets hope curiosity doesn't kill her.

History

Kat's parents died suddenly when she was about fourteen. Her only other living family, a self-involved aunt from her mother's side managed to exploit loopholes in her parent's will. Because Kat was underage when her parents passed the Aunt managed to take all of Kat's inheritance while dumping her niece with her Godfather, Jacob Vasser.

Jaccob had grown up with Kat's father, they had been fast friends their entire lives, up until his death. Jacob had always been like a second father to Kat so it was no wonder that he opted to fully adopt her after her parent's pre-mature death. He has a nice, upper-middle class home and makes his living as an architect. Kat attended a private high school that was located within walking distance from his house.

One day, when she went downtown with some friends after school, she was scouted by a modeling agent, Terry Hurst. Kat was hesitent about it at first, but agreed to do it as she was assured it would not interfere with her finishing high school. Since then she has been in a wide variety of advertisements. Usually they are print ads that run in magazines and catalogs, though she has done a few commercials. Often she is paired up with a black haired, black furred cat girl named Kitty. Their contrasting style of dress and looks makes for a fun compositional playground. Kitty became fast friends with Kat, but six months before Kat's eighteenth birthday she got picked up for runway in a different country and signed a year contract. Kat has only been able to visit with her once during that time.

About a month before Kat was going to turn eighteen it was discovered that someone had been placing cameras in her apartment and video taping her without consent and then publishing and selling the images online. Kat had to finish her final semester of high school while attending court almost daily to get the whole thing sorted out. The website was closed down and Kat successfully sued them for a lot of money. Once she was done with high school and the whole court mess she went on what was to be a six month hiatus from her modeling so she could re-coop. Only occasionally attending parties or functions that her circle of modeling friends hold, she has preferred hanging out with just her closest friends while on her break.

In the summer after she had graduated high school she met Criss while she had been taking an accidental dip in the creek that flows through a little park near her home. The two of them have been together romantically for the last five months (in game time).

Statement

Kat's history and information changes based on the game I have her in. This is her information and 'self' for the game I have with Criss. Originally her creation happened informally when I was about 12 and developed over the years as my 'online' persona. In the last few years I developed her into a full blown OC that I use in role plays. Why modeling for this instance? It just works with her personality, gives me a great excuse to have people dress her up and makes for... interesting scenes with Criss. He is the jealous type you know.

Categories

Kat is a model and can be dressed in all sorts of fun outfits.
Basically I would like to let everyone play dress up with her!

Casual can be everyday cloths, including her usual outfit.
Formal would be things like party dresses, evening gowns, little black dresses etc.
Costume could be anything, just be sure she is still recognizable as herself at all times.

Chibi Kat + dress up? Makes for ridiculously cute entries, which by the way are also eligible to win prizes from the other categories!

They met on a sunny afternoon in the park in early autumn. Kat had been a little too interested in trying to pet the ducks swimming in the creek and ended up falling in after them. Criss had been walking by and saw what happened and opted to give her a hand out. From there they ended up spending a lot of time together, unfortunately they did everything out of order...

They became physical too quickly because of his 'evil' side. They liked each other a lot and pretty much were dating, however both became nervous talking about or expressing their feelings, not sure what the other thought what they had was. Finally things climaxed in an argument and they realized they felt the same way about each other.

That same night they decided to move in together, unfortunately while they were trying to move her in Criss was attacked by six men. He was beaten nearly to death and had his hair chopped off. Emotionally and physically he is taking a long time to heal. Kat is working very hard, taking care of him and now they are moving into a condo in a better part of town in hopes it will be safer. As soon as he has recovered she plans to come off her hiatus and start working again.

Relationship with 'Good' Criss

They are very thoughtful of each other and try to do nice things for the other.
The main relationship issues they have are misunderstandings arising from problems
with communication and expressing themselves. Though that seems to have improved recently.

Suggested Scenes

Anything with these two should be fairly sweet. I can see them making eyes at
each other at a meal, snuggling, holding hands. Do not make them too mushy
though, they both have a solid sense of self. We do not have a Kariss situation
on our hand (where couples become too entangled and start being/acting like one
person). THOUGH once Criss' hair was cut he became very dependent on her. So
perhaps he would want to hold her more and stay closer to her after that.

They are both really thoughtful of each other. A situation of how they would be together
that we had thought of would be like Kat dropped her ice cream and Criss would give
her his. But then she would want to share it with him, maybe even taking turns feeding
each other. So I guess you could say they are pretty romantic as well.

Picnics, ice cream, nature, parks, animals, zoo, movies. These two would look great
together anywhere and doing just about anything! So have fun thinking of things.

Relationship with 'Evil' Criss

As soon as Kat learned about the mask and what it does to Criss she realized she had to find a way to get along with the person he becomes with it on. At first he terrified her, but she quickly was able to see the good parts of him that were still there and accept that side. Once she wasn't being afraid or trying to run away he calmed down and they bonded.

It is fairly unclear if this side of Criss has any feelings for her. At the moment it has not been addressed or brought up. Though he seems fairly patient with her and pretty gentle considering how violent he usually tends to be with others.

Suggested Scenes

He would defiantly be a dominant figure at all times with her. She is very docile so thats probably a good part of the reason why they get along. Also Criss is somewhat possessive in general, so that may be something to keep in mind.

Anyway, these are a few things that happened in game, but feel free to make up your own situations, compositions and themes for them!

The first time they met he chased her down and pinned her to a tree. She was only saved in that case because Criss managed to un-transform himself.

I'm not going to explain any details, but they did end up at the zoo in an uninhabited animal cage together. Thats where they came to an 'understanding'.

While in the hospital when Criss got upset about what had happened while he was recovering and put on the mask. He was going to storm out of there but through logic-speak she got him to rest so he wouldn't damage himself more.
