Well howdy there, I'm Mephianse. I'm a mod helper in General Discussion (more about that in my profile, plus the link in my sig that I really wish some of you would read). I'm a total video game addict, with my current emphasis on Tekken 5, Shadow of the Colossus, and the Silent Hill series. Speaking of addiction, I'm addicted to Jo, as well. I'm also a smoker, and my thoughts on that are contained in another sig link. I'm a nice guy and I do my best to remain calm and relaxed under pressure. I've tried to live my life by the motto, "Always play a real cool hand." Just because I am wearing expensive stuff doesn't mean I'm rich, so stop friggin' begging.

I doubt any of you are gonna read that crap, but it's cool. Maybe it'll give you an idea of how I like my drawings.

When they first met, Sei used to cling to Meph all the time which greatly slowed Meph down in anything he was trying to do. Somehow, from that, Sei became his sidekick, who was then nicknamed Lewd Lad (The Thong'd Wonder) because of his signature black thong. To complete the hero/sidekick image, Meph transformed into The Revealer. Now, they fight crime to keep the world of Gaia safe from evil! >3

For the art, you should use these two avatars. A heroic pose or something similar would be perfect (Keep in mind that Lewd Lad is the sidekick). As long as you use these two avatars, the art is valid to be submitted into the category. However, these entries must contain both of us. If not, it is not a valid entry.

These are just a few of the avatars I like a lot. More may be forthcoming, but I don't want to overload with avatars just yet. For now, I think Sei set a good limit with 4, so I'll go with that, too.

Sei also had a good idea with the description. I like to think of Mephianse as a generally happy guy. I like my personality to shine through online, so you're basically drawing another version of me, and I'd like the art to reflect that. Of course, I'm subject to anger like any other person, and if the piece calls for it, I don't mind in the least.

I was never much for backgrounds for my art. It takes longer for the piece to get finished, and a white background blends with Gaia's layout pretty well. However, if you feel drawing a background would help your chances, then you're welcome to it. Just try and make the colors of the background blend with and enhance the avatar you choose.

I'd also like you to notice that my outfits ALWAYS feature the cigarette. As I said, my avatar is basically another version of me. Smoking is one of the few issues I have strong feelings on (link in sig for more info on that), and I NEVER take the cig off. I'd like to be at least visible in all these pictures. Me taking a drag off the smoke is a plus, as long as it doesn't obscure the face too much. I'll leave that to the artist's discretion.






This is a Mephianse classic, I've been using this outfit for years. If you decide to draw this, a picture of me interacting with the ducks is always good. For a reference to what I think is an excellent example of the ducks making me happy, click here.









This is another one of my favorites. I know the hair doesn't quite match, but I never change the hair, so... there you have it. I can't think of any special thing I would like you to draw for this one, aside from the avatar itself. I just chose it because it's one of my favorite outfits, and art of it is always welcome.









I chose this outfit because the colors match almost perfectly, and it's very, very simple. The lack of accessories should make it easier to draw, I feel, and hell, the colors are just fantastic.









This avatar is an exception to the rule of general calmness. The swords plus the way the cigarette makes him look sort of neutral should reflect a feeling of either contained anger or outright hostility. Think of how angry samurai are portrayed in classic samurai movies (Kurosawa, anyone?) and you'll have the right idea.

The misc art will be divided into two sections. One section for the miscellanous art that Serael requests, and one section for the miscellanous art that Mephianse requests. The color of the text will denote who's requesting the art.






This is Jjm, otherwise know as my angel. He's always been there for me, especially when I've needed him the most. As such, he's become so much more to me. If you draw us, keep in mind that he's my boyfriend. We can be drawn as friends or something more... involved. The only limit here is the PG-13 limit on art. As long as it doesn't break that, you're good to go on drawing this any way you'd like. Other optional avatar to draw.

This is my friend Eli. She made most of the banners in this thread, so she gets a spot in the Miscellaneous Art post. You can draw me in any of my outfits, but she needs to be drawn in this outfit (items may be left out at artist's discretion). We can be hanging out or doing something else, but it's important to remember that we're just friends.












This is Jo. I have a serious thing for Jo, so any pictures of the two of us should be romantic in nature. Adoring looks, kissing, things of that sort. However, please, keep it PG-13.
