For the past several years, I have been working on a big comic project, whose working name is Fallen Angels. That may change in the future, but for lack of anything better to use, so be it for now. The main plot of the story follows two seniors in high school who come from very different backgrounds and unfolds to show how the power of friendship and love can overcome anything. Or some sappy crap like that >_> Like I said, it's a work in progress.

The biggest problem I have is what to dress the two main characters in. Unlike other comics, I would like to have an ever changing wardrobe for my characters. The problem is, I'm not really that creative (and it's not for lack of trying). This is where this contest comes in. I want to see what other people can design for my characters to wear. Some of the designs will be used in the comic, and others may just be used as ideas for more complex outfits.

I want people to have fun with this, so I will be trying to come up with as many sub catagories as possible ^^ Best part is, you don't have to be super great at drawing to get the grand prize XD I want the main focus of this contest to be on the design, so I will provide bases for people to use if they so choose.

April 16th, 2007: Ok, if you have been paying attention to the thread, you probably already know this. Ryry is upset over the number of entries she has gotten and is blaming it on me for not making a model for her. Therefore, we will be extending the due date to May 5th. I feel bad for everyone who has already entered the contest to have to wait longer, so I have talked her into doing only a 2 week exension as apposed to her original idea of a two month extension ^^; I'm also going to add a mini catagory~ Just cause it'll be fun and I'd like to see what people will come up with ^_^ It'll be a mini tektek contest with small prizes, but like I said, just something fun~

November 12th, 2006: A MERGER HAS OCCOURED!! *ahem* I mean, Ryanna has just informed me that she too wishes to start up a design a costume contest, so I said, WHY NOT JOIN MINE!! And hence, we now have new catagories, and a new character! Also, the end date has been extended... I'm sorry, but with the additions and such ^^;; Ryry wants a little more time ^^;; The new end date will be April 21st!

November 7th, 2006: I removed one of the categories and replaced it with two others ^^ I don't think the removal should affect anyone, but if you were seriously making a design for that catagory, send me your WIP and I will compensate you~ I also started up a bump contest~ Cause I hate being the only person on here >_>

November 5th, 2006: Uploaded a new model image of Maiko ^^ Reluctantly looking like a model ^^; She's so cute~ I'll make one of Dagny soon here. I also made a couple of banners. Please do link to us ^^ We'll link back~

October 31st, 2006: The contest is now open! I may do a couple of changes yet, but all of the details are there and the prizes won't decrease. So I've decided to go ahead and cut the ribbon ^^

No one really likes rules, but lets face it, the world would be chaos without them. And I don't particularly like chaos, cause then stuff doesn't get done. They're not hard, so please just follow them~

1. Please follow the Gaia TOS. It's not that hard, really it's not
2. Entries must be in by April 21st by Midnight Central Time.
3. Please don't be rude... it's just not nice and will result in banning from this thread and contest.
4. No submitting stolen entries!! I really hate art thieves x__x This contest is all about design, I've even given you models for if you can't draw figures yourself. If you're caught stealing art, you will be disqualified, blacklisted, and banned from this thread, and all other shops I run (and possibly shops that the judges run).
5. Don't try bribing the judges! Judging will be done by me and my good friend, Ryanna Silverthorn. We will try to be fair to everyone.
6. Do not PM Asashi with questions! I will keep a close eye on this thread and all questions will be answered here. All PMs will be ignored!
7. You do not have to go exactly by the typical clothing designs. After all, this is why I have this contest, to give me new ideas for outfits, even outfits that don't follow what I usually draw them in. Sometimes it's really ooc, other times it works incredibly well.
8. This is important in the design, and I didn't really know where else to put it (although it's already listed in the character descriptions) No one in this universe wears shoes!! That's right, as odd as it sounds, everyone wears socks with open toes and heels. Why? Cause it's cool >_>
9. I reserve the right to add more rules as I see fit.

Can I enter more than 1 design? Yes, please do! Although each design is only eligable for one prize, and each person is only eligible for a maximum of two prizes, you can certainly submit however many you would like.

Does the entry have to be perfectly colored? Not at all ^^ Although I would ask that it is colored, it does not have to be anything fantastic. You don't even have to shade it if you don't want.

Does my outfit design have to match the descriptions you give? No. The entire reason I am holding this contest is so I can have some new outfit designs and ideas for these characters ^^ Sometimes people draw them in outfits that I wouldn't normally draw them in, and yet it really works. A good example of this is the drawing I used for the profile sections. The outfits are not something that I would have ever made for them, and yet it works ^^ I like it a lot.

Details: Maiko is a fairly bitter and reserved person with a somewhat dry sense of humor (when she has one). She gets along for Dagny for reason's even she's not sure of (truth be told, she enjoys his easy laid back personality and his ability to shrug off any moodiness she portrays and wishes she could be the same way), although she doesn't much care for the company of others. She has no real friends and typically turns a cold shoulder to anyone she doesn't know, making finding new friends nearly impossible.

Typical Clothing Style: This can be described as goth-lolita. She always wears dresses or skirts, and is always dressed in black (although sometimes accented with other colors). Although I sometimes draw her in poofy skirts, she more typically wears skirts that hang on her and tight fitting shirts or corsets that are fairly low cut. Sleeves or no sleeves, matters not.

Other Notes: Maiko has pierced ears, two silver rings high on her right ear and one silver hoop low and silver stud high on her left ear with a chain connecting them She also has a silver navel ring, although it doesn't usually show. She also wears a silver toned medical alert bracelet on her left wrist. It is a small, rectangular piece of metal on a chain. Maiko's hair in front comes down to her chin, maybe just a little past. In back it's cropped fairly short, trimmed up to the hair line when properly cut, and layered a little up the back (about halfway up her head).

Details: Dagny an easy, laid back person who usually lets people go their own way. He's secretly in love with Maiko, but makes light of it cause he doesn't really want her to know (he doesn't think she wants a serious relationship and is for the most part right). He's friendly and has a light sense of humor, typically smiles unless he's concentrating or is worried about someone. Despite being a friendly guy, he doesn't have a lot of friends, and spends most of his time at home hanging out with the few he has. He enjoys working on computers and sometimes cars, and likes to draw a bit.

Typical Clothing Style: His typical style could be described as goth-punk. He isn't attatched to any particular color, although I usually draw him wearing black with red accents. Typical outfit is long shorts (about capri length) or pants with straps, buckles, or zippers for no aparent reasons, and fairly tight fitting shirts, sleeveless or not, that are cut high to show off his stomach. If not wearing long sleeves, he typically wears arm warmers.

Other notes: Dagny wears glasses. I've never really detailed them to the point that they're a specific style, other than they are oval or rectangular is shap (or somewhere in between, just not round). Dagny also has an eyebrow piercing in his left eyebrow. I usually draw it as a silver barbell, although it could be a ring. Dagny's hair in front comes down to a little past his chin, almost to his shoulders, and in back goes halfway down his back.

Angel is the stage name for a popular singer in this storyline, who just happens to be Maiko. She doesn't make very many stage appearances, as Maiko tends to dislike crowds, but she is forced to do so from time to time. Whenever she does, she typically colors her fur temporarily (to help disguise her identity) and for effect.

Her body is the same, and she wears piercings in the same spots, although her fur color changes (just her fur, her eyes stay blue), and she wears a small pair of wings. I haven't drawn many pictures (and no colored pictures) of Angel, although I do have a few.

When thinking of her music and the style she might wear, think of a rock/trance type music (more trance, a little rock) and she tends to wear goth type clothes, again, true to her nature, they tend to be black.

Eyes: Sea green, which bleed into a chilling glacier blue when she shape shifts
Hair: Long, black hair with copper highlights; it just brushes the middle of her back
Height: 5’ 7”
Weight: 147 lbs

Physical Appearance: Milky white skin, almost a cream-ish complexion. Under a starry night, her skin has an almost reflective quality, not glowing, but lit with a kind of promised warmth. Ryanna is a healthy individual; she is slim and supple in all the right places. Being an athletic person, she is also toned. On her upper left arm, there is a set of claw marks. They appear to be from a tiger, but are larger than they should be. She also has a tatto on her right shoulder blade(See referance pic at end).

Attitude: Ryanna at times, can be cocky, but this is mainly a front. At her core, she could be accused of being gentle. She tries to be a level-headed person, but because of age and inexperience, she cannot always do so. Additionally, she is a very passionate person.

Weapons: Two nine millimeter Beretta's w/ custom clips (staggered stack w/ 18 round capacity) silver-plated hollow-point ammo. Two knives, 5" blade, w/ high silver content in the steel. One 3” folding blade w/ high silver content, with clip. When shifted, Rya has her claws and teeth, as do all weres. She can also partially shift, making her hands into deadly claws, but leaving an otherwise human form.

Typical Clothing: She doesn't have a particular style. She tends to wear jeans or slacks, skirts rarely. Her shirts are either tight or loose with flowing sleeves. When she has a tight top on, she'll wear wristbands. She prefers dark colors though will sometimes toss in a deep red or pale purple, something that complements her pale skin. She doesn't exactly like wearing high-heeled shoes, but if she is wearing a skirt or dress she will have heels on. ^^;

Bump Contest!

Ok, I really need someone to bump this thread while I'm away during the day. And I figure the best way to get people to bump, is to bribe them! offer prizes~

SO! Let's say for every 200 bumps, I'll draw a picture for the bumper ^^ The details of the pic are not defined, it will probably be a full body chibi, but it might be a half body regular drawing too, colored or not depends on how I feel and what color the winners avi is~ (it's hard for me to color avis with many shades of the same color x___x I'm using sharpies for this and have a limited color palet)

There are some rules though!

1. Please number your bumps~ I don't want to have to go count each and every one.
2. No more than.... let's say 1 numbered bump every half hour. You can most certainly chat in between bumps, but they don't count towards the 200.
3. When you get 200 bumps, please PM me with the subject "Bump contest" Unless otherwise stated, the drawing will be of your avi and what he/she is wearing. If you want a different avi, you can send me a picture of what one you want. But please no cluttered avis or original characters.
4. Please don't cheat or try to scam me.... It's just not nice ;___; And although I don't want to count your bumps, that doesn't mean that I'm not paying attention surprised
5. There are no limits to the prizes for this ^^ Everyone gets 200 bumps gets a drawing. And once you get a drawing, you can do another 200 bumps to get another drawing~
