Best real media - pencil, pen, paint, ink, marker, crayon, macaroni. You name it. This category is for the best use of real media, both technical use and as suited to the picture.
Best CG - any picture done entirely or primarily in CG will be eligible for this one. Drawings done in pencil and then scanned and coloured on the computer do count for this category. Drawings that are primarily real media and have a few filters tossed on for effect do not.
Best comic/realism - If your style is either realistic, pseudo-realistic or sort of comic-style realistic, your entry will also be eligible for this category. Painting/portraits, etc. Any medium counts.
Best chibi - 'Nuff said? Any medium's fine, both "normal" chibis and stylized ones will count for this.
Best manga/anime - Whether it be cel-styled standard anime, soft fluffy shoujo-esque, stylized pop manga, etc. If it's inspired by Japanese comic anime, you could grab this one!
Best stylistic - If your entry is very dynamic and stylized, something like art nouveau (which, btw, I lovelovelove) or fantasy/comic styled, basically something that does not fit into chibi, anime, comic, etc,
Base avatar info
I encourage people to get creative with our outfits, but a few things should remain standard. Moony is nearly always wearing her portable headphones, if not she will have elf ears, or in a pinch, her ears can be covered by hair. I'm a bit neurotic about the standard round ears on my avatar, and I don't quite know why, but they are
never visible. Please keep that in mind. Also, the pearl necklace I tend to put on my avatar was a valentine's day gift from Twisty, and it means a lot to me, so it should be included if at all possible. If I'm already wearing a collar or something, that's fine, but if you can find a way to incorporate it, that would be great. As for Twisty, I don't believe I've ever seen his avatar without a cigarette and he's nearly always wearing the romani shades, so please be sure to include those things. Here are some good base avatars to work with if you feel like making original or themed outfits, or drawing us without clothes for whatever reason :Sweat:

Moony edit: That goes for mine too, even though they're not as elaborate as his. I've got a
pair of cat paws on my left outer hip, just outside the bone, as well as a
monarch butterfly on the inside of my right ankle. The paws are approx 1.5" in diameter each, and the butterfly is about 2.5" from base to wingtips. They're not particularly dominant, but it would be nice if they could be included subtly.

Sexy, sultry, hot, steamy. Sounds like your art? Check this category out. As mentioned before, we have a definite mutual attraction that verges on the animal sometimes. Part of me just wants to tie this boy up and make him do all sorts of things I can't mention here.

Dashing Badasses - katana + pink giftbox
When the katana/veil items first came out, I made myself a pretty dressy avatar, and Twisty decided to doll himself up to match, but felt the need to strap on something big and shiny and pointy. Compensating, much? *hides*. In return, I tried to find a suitable stylish weapon for my avatar, but failed rather miserably. So let's pretend I have a stiletto hidden in the handle of my parasol, or that the edges are razor sharp, or some other equally ridiculous thing. We should be sexy and stylish and dangerous-looking in this. Think Mr. & Mrs. Smith, or something to that effect, but preferrably working as a team, not trying to slaughter each other

Sometimes, despite everything else, we just get silly. Really silly. Very few people make me laugh like Twisty does. This category is more of a gag than a serious one, but if you like to draw two people just having WAY TOO MUCH FUN, it's perfect for you

Kokoryta is my other closest friend, and puts up with me blathering incessantly about everything and anything, and for this I
heart her. She's always there for me, and without her I never would have found Gaia in the first place. She's also given me some of the prize items for the above categories. So it's only fair to include her in one very special category.
Everyone knows that pirates are cool. Very cool. Cooler, in fact, than even ninjas. So what could be cooler than the three of us decked out in pirate garb, possibly drunk on rum?
