august first || We seemed to have forgotten about this thing. We have gone on so many hiatus and come back.. then left again.. then came back. So many Cousins have come forth out of their katamai including Our Prince. Another flatsale is coming up and then another hiatus... and then an event.. and customs, oh my O:

november twenty-fifth || the first flatsale has been set for November 29th - a Tuesday - at 6pm pst. subject to change if enough people voice strong opposition or if chiri gets bogged down by homework xD;; anywho .. yes. The 29th!
November nineteenth || more information has been put up and the item list is slowly being put together. There are some things in it that I'm not sure could be collected outside of the game - like the Jumbomen action team - so... it might take a while to get it all done. But, since the sublists have been done, it gives oyu an idea of what you expect. Also, a flatsale is hopefully going to be done soon, just as soon as the Katamari are all drawn.

The Royal Academy
The Great Cosmos, a world of mystery both tantalizing and terrifying... Not a very well publicized world, you understand, but a glamorous and influential world none the less.

Bold yet sensitive, and rugged to boot, tolerant and compassionate, with a heart deeper than the oceans. Such is the Great Cosmos, and the King that rules over it is marvelous to behold . . . . Except for the one time that he destroyed all the stars in the universe.

No big deal, really.

Having come to and realized the folly of his ways, the wisest of Kings sent to the planet Earth his beloved son, the Prince, and commanded him to make a katamari of ample proportions. Tossed unceromoniously to Earth, the valiant Prince rolled the katamari entrusted to him by the King, rolling up more things than you can count. Vaulting boxes, pencils, erasers, postcards, ramen, robots, cows, sheep, this girl, that boy, moms and dads, bicycles, moterbikes, homes, buildings, rainbows, clouds, islands, hopes and dreams!

The Prince rolled them all up, rolled and rolled, until the katamari was big enough to be lifted into Space to replace the shining stars that were so grieviously lost.

And that, Dear Friends, was the plot and purposes of the fabulous game called:

katamari damashii.

Its popularity recognized no boundaries or borders, and it rolled right out of the game to bundle away the many and sundry ills that blight the modern world.

Overnight, the king found himself a superstar. The adulation of the crowd knew no limits. "We love you!" they cried, "You're so wonderful!" Oh dear, such a chorus! Fans crying out from all over the world for the magnificent king to do his thing . . .

"Ah, such sweet memories." The King sighed, reminiscing to his beloved son and the little Cousins, "Yes, there was that time. That time We smashed all the stars to bits. It's like something out of a dream."

"We so totally forgot... hm? What made Us remember?" He asked suddenly, tapping his great chin.

"Lookee, the only place with stars is Earth! Looks like Katamari Damashii was lazy. Looks like Katamari Damashii had everyone fooled. What impressed Us all over is the scale of destruction We wrought. We were on a roll, yes We were. heart Fierce and fabulous We certainly were. heart We were really something yes, yes."

He paused, and then continued onto another tangent.

"Oh speaking of something here's a tidbit. Not that We get it, but seems We are quite a hit. heart A big hit with Gaia, another star so full of stuff, a star now apparently full of Our fans!"

"Prince! Cousins!" The Great King called, questioningly. "What do you think they love about us? Our look? Our tights? Our mustache?"

"Oh!" He cried, finally realizing, "Eureka! We've got it! It's Our chin, it is so magnificent. Earth and Gaia are full of dedicated followers of Our chin. 'I wanna hold your chin' ... 'let me feel your goatee' ... they ask so nicely, so passionately. How could We say no?"

"So now, Our Prince and little Cousins, you must go to Gaia and grant Our fans their wishes. Their wishes are Our chin's commands. Our chin's commands are Our wishes ... and so on. Roll up new stars to fill the sky, yes."

He smiled, folding his fingers together. Proud of himself and his wonderful idea.
He was so brilliant, yes he was.

. First off .... PLEASE READ THE FIRST PAGE! What, do you think We are saying all this for no reason, hmm?

. Do not steal or alter the art. Our fans worked hard on the art, they worked very hard. We would be most displeased if someone took all their hard work for themselves, yes? No good to claim or change someone else's work, yes?

... Why are you looking at Us that way? Impudence. We will be moving on now.
. Do not PM or send trades to chirigami. Naturally, all Our fans crave an audience with Our Royal Self. But you cannot just march up to the throne like that, silly fans! Send all of your messages and trades through Our Royal Mule, don't send them to Our other fans, like chirigami. Only to Our Royal Mule!!
. Be mindful and respectful. Do not bring your arguements and 'flames' before Our Throne. If you must squabble and scrap, do such things away from Our Lofty Presence.
. Don't be obnoxious. What is this? What are these piles and piles of boxes with words? 'Stacked quotes'? My, Earth really is full of things. But We do not want Our Royal Thread filled with such things, so do not stack and stack and stack when you must quote. Only once, possibly twice. Woo.

And what is this 'omgzlol wut u want h0r'? How do you pronounce that? How disturbing. Such nonsense is not for Us. We prefer Our fans to speak properly, like We do.

You are looking at Us that way again...
. Roleplay? You do not have to roleplay with Us and with all the Prince's little Cousins... or write down things in a diary like the King does. We write everything down, yes. When the Prince knocks into things, or picks things up, or when he is lazy - foolish Prince!

But Our Fans do not have to do such a thing. We are a benevolent King, yes? Too much work, yes? But if you want to roleplay, We enjoy being entertained... and We do have Royal Presents for the fans that please Us. And if you wish to be like Our Regal Self and keep a diary, We will be flattered and roll one up right away. How sweet! heart

That way, We do not get confused. Not that We are confused often, but even the King cannot be expected to keep track of everything.
. Co-owning? The Prince's little Cousins are easily confused, poor little things. They are not full of wisdom like Our Fabulous Self, and they might get all mixed up if more than one of Our Fans comes to guide them. So no, no, only one fan per Cousin. So We have declared.
Hmm... were there more? Were there more rules floating around Our Great Intellect? Yes? No? We cannot recall. Perhaps if We remember them, We will write them down.

. Follow the rules We didn't write them down for no reason, you know... and We HATE Our work going ignored. Our servant the Royal Mule and our Fan chirigami are also there for a reason. We hate THEM going ignored, too. Pay attention to them, and to Our rules.
. there are numerous types of flatsales As many ways as there are ways to roll, yes. You can roll with speed, or roll-play (oh, We have such a brilliant wit!), to rolling up items related to the Cousins available.
. You may try for someone else If you wish, you can roll on someone else's behalf. We do not care, really. As long as the Prince's Cousins end up with good Fans to guide them, We do not care one bit.
. One Cousin per person What? Are Our fans greedy? Silly fans, you can only try to get one Cousin per sale... only one, no matter who the Cousin is for! We know We are just so wonderous, Our chin so magnificent, that it may be tempting to try more... but, please, We must leave some for the rest of Earth.
Send information and Trades to Royal Mule All the information We require - which Cousin you want to guide, the Fan's name, and so on - and, of course, the trade (We do SO need to restock Our royal liquor cabinet after that one time heart ) to Our Royal Mule as soon as We proclaim the winners. Don't send it to Our Fan chirigami - but DO send it as soon as you can. We haven't got all day, you know.
. Price? Cousins obtained in the sale of flatness are 7k.
. Have Fun! We are most happy when Our fans are happy - and who wouldn't be happy, with the chance to guide one of Our family... and the chance to look upon Our glorious figure? Speed flatsale
. Read the rules. We must repeat Ourselves, for it is SO important.
. Wait till either Our Royal Mule or chirigami post 'GO' in big purple letters. Purple, the color of royalty. We approve, of course. heart
. Don't spam the thread, especially near the time of the sale. When We are going to speak, We should be easily heard - not drowned out by silly chatter. We are the King of All Cosmos, after all. Not to mention, people might miss the time to post... and that, too, would not please Us.
. When you post, post which Cousin you'd like - either name or number. The fastest roller gets the first choice, of course. We're all about speed now. Or was it love? We don't remember.
. No editing posts. We will be watching, of course and if We catch you cheating... well. We DO have laser eyes, you know. And while We are not sure if they work on Fans like they do on the Prince and his Cousins, We wouldn't mind trying it out... If your Cousin of choice is taken, post again with a new number, so as not to risk Our wrath.

Item Search
. Read the rules. We cannot say it enough, apparently.
. This is like a scavenger hunt, rolling up only the items We request. Your job, clamoring Fan, is to find items; either one particular item or a list of them. We will be more specific about what We want at the time of the sale, of course.
. You may use items of your own creation - like drawing them (how creative and clever!) - or roll them up on the internet (not so fancy, but you can't all be as clever as We are). Whatever you roll up, provide links rather than posting all the pictures in your post. We hate loading, after all. It makes Us quite bored.
. Wait until either Our Royal Mule or chirigami post Our items list AND the 'GO' post in purple letters to post which one you wish for. We don't like being ignored.
. We will, of course, announce the winners. The person who places first will get first choice of the Cousins, and so on from there.

Trivia Questions
. Read the rules. We are sounding like a broken record, how disturbing.
. This is so easy. heart You, Our Fans, will answer trivia questions! These questions will, of course, be about Us... or about Katamari Damacy... or maybe We Love Katamari... or perhaps even random questions about something different! We are wild and unpredictable, after all.
. We may give deadlines for specific answers, depending on how hard Our questions are, and how many there are. We shall have to see about that when the time comes.
. Wait for the 'GO' post. My, this rule does come up a lot.

Roleplay Prompt
. Read the rules. Is this the last time We have to say this? We certainly hope so.
. We will give out a special prompt, just a little prompt for you to answer with roleplay. How quaint!
. You will have 30 minutes to post a response. We don't have all day, you know. We will give you the prompt five minutes before the 'GO' is posted, out of the goodness of Our heart. heart Wait for the 'GO' before you post your response, of course.
. We will judge and choose the best responses when time is up. How very easy.

. So you wish to roleplay with the King, hmm? That is what you wish? Well, We have a few little rules for that, the smallest of rules, really.
. Stay in Character Our Prince's little Cousins are easily confused, yes? That is why We have given you, Our Fans, a few guidelines about their personalities. What makes them tick, hmm? Try to follow what We have said, clamoring Fans, lest you confuse the inchling Cousins.
. Don't GodMod Getting a bit full of yourself, are you? We are the Great King of All Cosmos. You, obviously, are not. So don't act like you are, yes? We are greatly displeased by such things.
. Presents Guess what? heart Guess what this is? heart One of Our Royal Presents! In Our great generosity, We will give such presents to good, hard-working and busy-rolling Cousins.

If you want a Royal Present, pleading Fan, you must send Us a message so that We can give you instructions. Never something for nothing, yes? And We must always have more stars... We broke an awful lot of them, you know.

We shall give you a list of Our wishes, and you and the Cousin in your care shall roll, and roll, and roll...! And when you have a splendid katamari, the finest you can roll, bring it back and We shall see. If it pleases Us, we will release it into the sky, and grant one of Our Royal Presents in thanks.
. Growth Only the hardest working Cousins can grow great and strong - though not as great as Our Royal Self, no. But bigger than a tiny size, greater than most things! If you, cheerful Fans, can work with the little Cousins, and work very hard, write lots in your diaries, and roll very great katamaris... perhaps, perhaps it will be enough?
. Missions Look out, tiny Fan! You have too many katamaris to roll, too much work to do - if you are not careful, you will roll yourself up! And then We shall not be responsible, no, not for such things. Be careful not to take on too many of Our Royal Missions at once!

If you want a Royal Quest from the Our Grandiose Self, you must send Us a message through Our Royal Mule. Or, if you have a diary, you may write it there for Us to read. But oh, careful, careful noisy Fan, inchling Cousin! Not too many at once, yes?

mission rules

general rules
. Most missions are item collectin missions.
. You will be given a Item Set, most generally, or you could be given something specific and fun - ie, like the snow lwvel or fireflies... or roses.
. Sometimes you have to collect a certain amount, sometimes have to get a certain amount in a certain amount of time. And sometimes, you might have guessed it, you could just be given a certain amount of time to get as much as you can.
. Presents can appear if you get a specific item - you won't know what the item is, but if you get it... you will know ~
. No more than two a day, and no more than four a week. Don't tire your poor Cousin out.
. When more missions are requested, and a list can be complied, you can ask for specific ones to do.

item collecting
. Items are just collecting images from a number of sources. They can be from googling the internet, Gaian minishop items - or even Gaia items - or images your draw yourself.
. Multiples of one item - ie, We ask for a bunch of leaves - should each be different. No altering the image in anway; like colorizing, coloring, resizing or cropping ... We will know. Think outside the box.
. You may ask other to draw items for you, if you feel your artistic skills are not up to par. But really, We don't judge...
. We will never ask for the impossible ... well, maybe.

Growth Mission
. Your first mission, the growth mission, will be given to you. No need to request them.
. They are geared very specifically to the nature, theme and personality of your Cousin.
. Please do them within a week, or your Cousin could be taken away. They can get terribly bored or distracted if their missions take so long, so could simply wander away or something. But, if you have a very good reason for your sudden absence - as we won't give you this special mission knowing full well ahead of time if you're gone - We will be forgiving.
. The more your interact, are active and just are all around here, the sooner you will be given this mission.
. You will be most likely collecting items.

q. What exactly is this?
a. This is a breedable shop based around the games Katamari Damashii and We heart Katamari, both by Namco... if you honestly haven't figured that out.

a. Yes, they are... have to figure that part out.

a. You are allowed to have two original Cousins - that is, from the original games - and as many custom and cosplay as you desire.

q. If someone has the KD version of a Cousin, can I get the WLK one or visa versa?
a. Unfortunatly no, even though some Cousins have a drastic change between versions, it'd just confuse the little things to know theres another version of itself somewhere.

q. Will any of the Royal Family be available?
a. Ousama and Ouhisama won't be.

q. What the hell is the point of missions?
a. Fun? interaction and something to do with your Cousin? Can also get presents. I didn't want you to just collect and breed the hell out of them ;o; They should be fun ~

q. Will missions make stars and planets like in the games?
a. Yup!

So, you have recieved a katamari? At this point we recommend you stay as active as possible within the thread or, if you chose, your journal. The more you interact with your Katamari, the sooner the King will request a single mission from you to 'hatch' the Cousin within. The mission is simple and usually dealing with the nature of the Cousin you have chosen to guide along the path of Star Making.

Finally, you have completed your one mission and 'hatched' your charge from their Katamari. Many things can depend on what they look like; being the design of the Katamari, or chosen from the list of those within the game or even of your own doing. From this point, you are welcome to continue guiding them along, making stars and recieving presents and privilages... or you can stop there, watching your Cousin float in a random sig or sit doing nothing. It is your choice.


Special Stage

The last and final stage of the Cousin in your care, they can only achieve this having done special missions and done enough roleplay. This is an optional stage and not mandated to achieve, but it is special enough that We are sure many of you would love to see happen. How much work needs to be done and what will they recieve? Well, that's a secret you will have to wait and see.

Getting Presents
. There are many means of obtaining some Royal Presents for your little Cousin, some random and some by other means.
in Missions: The way to find them in Missions is managing to roll up an item of the King's choosing. Meaning, when the Royal Mule gives you your mission he will have an item in mind - not telling you what it is - for you to roll up, if you manage to provide that item then your Cousin has a present. Sounds difficult, as the item could be anything but because the missions - especially the first few - will be rather specific for your Cousin, then perhaps not.
in Flatsales: As in Missions, if someone provides an item in mind, than a present will be given out. Otherwise, they can be given at random.
Random: Presents can also be given randomly, as in.. chirigami or Taro will post a present and the first to claim is will recieve it. Or, if someone may recieve presents for being good and active, or if We are being generous.

There are two types of customs: Custom and Cosplay. Cousins from the games can not be requested.

. These are totally up to you, think of whatever you want, but please keep in mind of the limitations there are with the character designs of Cousins to begin with.
. Please send request form and trades to the Royal Mule, not chirigami. We will let you know if theres anything funky.

. your name: well, yours or whoever this is going to
. Cousin's name: what shall your Cousin be called, hm?
. body type: Standard like the prince? Or perhaps in a different shape, some cousins have such interesting body shapes like stars or streteched or even donuts.
. main body color: choose from whatever color you want, or perhaps two like KD Marcy... you can also send in hex codes.
. leg colors: only one color, should be different than the main body
. patterns: optional, but you can request patterns on the body of your cousin
. head type: Does your Cousin has a standard shape head? or perhaps not like Johnson?
. Head design: Are there any patterns on your Cousin's head, near the ends?
. Katamari design: What would you like the Katamari to look like?
. Personality: How is this important? Well, if you roll play, we'd like to know how your Cousin should act.. so we know they're in character. Also, helps with the picture.

Cosplay
. Only one person per character. If someone chooses it and you want it too, well tough.
. Please keep in mind of the limitations of the character designs of the Cousins, some Cosplay could be difficult to do...
. You cannot request more than one item on your Cosplay Cousin. Yes, you get to request a special item for them, but only one!
. Please provide good reference pictures, at least three and in color. Some series I do know, yes - like Naruto, Bleach, ect - but hey, still nice to have them.
. Yes yes, you can ask for Gaia characters as well, not members, but characters.
. Please send form and trade to the Royal Mule, not chirigami.

. your name: well, yours or whoever this is going to
. Cousin's name: what shall your Cousin be called, hm?
. Cosplaying as: Who is your cousin based off of?
. Reference Pictures: picture links, don't direct link from other websites, upload them to your own servers or photobucket or something... I don't like people stealing other people's badwidth. anywho
. body type: Standard like the prince? Or perhaps in a different shape, some cousins have such interesting body shapes like stars or streteched or even donuts.
. main body color: choose from whatever color you want, or perhaps two like KD Marcy... you can also send in hex codes.
. leg colors: only one color, should be different than the main body
. patterns: optional, but you can request patterns on the body of your cousin
. head type: Does your Cousin has a standard shape head? or perhaps not like Johnson?
. Head design: Are there any patterns on your Cousin's head, near the ends?
. Katamari design: What would you like the Katamari to look like?
. Personality: How is this important? Well, if you roll play, we'd like to know how your Cousin should act.. so we know they're in character. Also, helps with the picture.
. Special item: Your ONE special item. It could be a sword, their favorite scarf. Please be reasonable and don't try to be clever in trying to get two or more

custom prices

Again, there are two types of customs - those that you design or those that are cosplays - so there are two different pricing systems, mostly depending on details and designs.

customs
[as suggested xD;]
As explained in the information section for customs, these are totally up to your design, and as such they can get as complicated or be as simplistic as your heart's desire which could affect the prices.

price range: 50k - 100k

the basic package:
- standard body and head [ie: the Prince, Ichigo, Kuro...]
- no more than two colors, though with variations
- one overall design pattern [ie: ichigo's seeds ] or a design that runs along the side of their heads
- simple katamari

what increases the price:
there is no set price for the increase of details since they can actually vary; some people would just want more colors which will increase the price only slightly or they could want different body designs and extra add ons that could increase the price dramatically. Though, chirigami has an idea of what can increase the prices, some designs can be negociated during the transaction.
- a different body design [ie: Nik, Lucha, Beyond... ]
- a different head design [ie: Shy, Peso, Johnson... ]
- more colors [ie: Marcy's WLK design...]
- complex amount of designs upon the bodies and heads
- just.. wow amount of weirdness [ie: Twinkle, L'Amour... that one that has those drills...]
- a weird bizarre katamari that will kill chiri's hand...

cosplays:
Some cosplays, as customs, also aren't that complicated in design and thus also follow a payment system depending on complexity. Though, they are a wee bit more expensive as well, they're cosplay and you want them to be as close as the character as possible ~

price range: 100k - 200k

the basic package:
- standard body and head [ie: the Prince, Ichigo, Kuro...]
- no more than two colors, though with variations
OR
- a simplified outfit that contours to the design of the basic body
- one overall design pattern [ie: ichigo's seeds ] or a design that runs along the side of their heads
- simple katamari
- one free Royal Present affiliated with the cosplay [ie: a CCS Sakura could have her wand ]

what increases the price:
As Customs go, Cosplays can become more complicated depending on the character they are representing. This can actually be pretty self explanitory and these price increases will actually be more negociated while the transaction is taking place.


missions

. Your first mission, the growth mission.. and well the second growth mission are given to you. So, no need to request them.. they will be given when We feel you are ready.
. Again, no more than two missions in a day and four a week.
. For now, until more missions are done and a list is compiled to choose from, please just send a Mission request the the Royal Mule - not chirigami - saying 'hey, I'd like a mission, dammit.' Well, doesn't have to be in those words, but you get the idea, hopefully.


pet trades

. pet trades are, well, rather self explanatory. A Pet for a Pet - in this case a Pet for a Cousin.
. those interested are able to request a Cousin from Katamari Damashii or We Love Katamari as well as Customs and Cosplay. Those not available are those that fans are already helping, The King, the Queen, nor the Prince.

. If the trade is approved, then the Royal Mule will provide you with a form to fill out to get things rollin' even more.
. chirigami is rather picky about pets, often opting for those with good story backgrounds and good designs to them. Though, she is a sucker for Gaara [from Naruto], Harle [from Chrono Cross], BirdGirl [from Harvey Birdman], a few other characters here and there and the color yellow.
. cousin for a cousin? chiri's favorites of the katamari cousins are Ichigo and Daisy.
. please be patient if chiri doesn't get back to you right away with an approval or a follow up to her 'hey, I read your PM and I'll get back to you' PM. She's busy and/or might be trying to figure out what she wants from your end.... or it slipped her mind *shot*
. at the moment, chiri is not looking for arpee intensive pets, she has a lot on her plate right now.

But hey, then this crazy idea wouldn't have come about heart and Sosi was awesome enough to translate some of the dialogue into King and making such pretty banners and certs! ;o; ~ much love! .chirigami main artist, thread maintainer, the person behind all this. In character, she's not that intelligent and is rather paranoid... yet somehow came to believe she's a ninja. Out of character, she's still... not that bright *cough* and is known to take on too much work at a given time, but hey.. sometimes gets it all done at a decent amount of time.


.Sosiqui the generous maker of all banners, certs and King translator. She is the Mod of all Cosmos, and chirigami wishes to build a shrine to her heart


.Royal Mule ..... the royal mule, why does he get a bio? 'cause chiri thought up something she thought was amusing for him. Taro, as he was once called, lead a normal life. Went to school, went to cram school, dreamed of getting that perfect job that would supply future benefits to ease his life. But one day, the King of All Cosmos came, came with that katamari and that Prince of his and rolled up everything ... including Taro. Now, somehow he managed to escape the star making process, perhaps just falling off when the Prince bumped into something ... he was unsure as he was unconscious from being rolled over after all. But, the King looked at this young man and saw .. something in him, something that could be useful and basically kidnapped took the young man with him as he and the Prince returned home. The King gave him a new name, new clothing, a new purpose. Taro, now the Royal Mule, wasn't the bit too pleased.....

.pet trades will chirigami be taking pet trades? why yes, yes she is willing to take pet trades. What can this entail? She's rather picky with pets, but usually agreeable if theres a Gaara in the mix. And hey! theres information up there *points up*
