This entire mess happened after we saved the world from Lavos. I figured after everyone had gone back to their proper time, we wouldn't need the Gate Key anymore....so I went home to do the only thing I should do with it: DISSECT IT!

I'd forgotten the exact method I used to put it together, and I hadn't had time to make blueprints. But I'm the greatest inventor of all TIME, after all. I don't NEED blueprints. Even so....right while I was removing the core it kind of....sparked. The next thing I knew everything was going haywire....

Well, okay, I didn't notice at right away, but that's not the point! I had a lot of important things on my mind! Like....how to reassemble the Gate Key before my mom and dad's place caught fire. I did that....and put it in a safe place to forget about it. But a few days later we had a knock at our door, and it was Gaspar. Mom thought it was a brush salesman, but nope....it was the Guru Of Time.

Now, Gaspar never leaves the End of Time, so this was a big surprise. The bigger surprise, however, came in the form of three Mystic....babies, which he carried in a basket while looking like a very disgruntled grandfather. One of the babies had knocked his bowler cockeyed on his bald head.

"LUCCA!" the old man wasn't happy to see me, I should mention. "WHAT did you do!?" he continued, as if I knew what was going on.

So of course, I asked the first thing I could think of. "What do you mean?"

There are no exacts in science, but a little specification helps.

"Time and space is coming apart!" he yelled. THAT helped. I stared as the pudgy green infant in the basket started to yowl at the outburst.

"Sooo...?" I replied slowly, trying to soothe them both.

"THAT. KEY. YOU TOOK APART THAT KEY!" Gaspar only raged louder, his face becoming a rather lovely shade of purple to contrast his bulging eyes. The baby tried to match the Guru's howls now, tiny arms flailing.

"Yeah..." I winced, but answered amazingly calm and unflustered. Then again, I am a cool and collected sort of gal.

"DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU'VE DONE?" he ranted on. That's what I was trying to figure out!

Before I could try to tell my side of the story, I was getting chewed out for "crashing time like we crashed the Epoch!" and "Hell in a handbasket dropped on his doorstep!". Then he shoved the handbasket in question into my arms.

"HERE." the old man snipped. "YOU caused this. YOU take care of Ozzie, Flea, and Slash. I'LL see if this mess-up hasn't affected any place so we can place the rest of the children."

"Wait, WHAT?"

And before I knew it, the old man had hauled off to find a place while I got stuck with these three. A few days later, Gaspar stormed back in and told me to pack up the kids and my stuff and get ready to go. He wouldn't tell me where we were going and why. But at that point, I really didn't need to know.

Obviously, we are now here in Gaia.

Boy, do we need help.

Past - We all have them, even babies, right? Most of my kids go through only one or two of these stages, but some go through all three:

Children do recall who they are and where they come from; their past, but not their future. Once you take your child back to their home world and time, many times you can also roleplay their canon guardians, if you wish....for example, if I were a kid, my mom and dad, Lara and Taban. Special exceptions will be noted. There is no such thing as exact science; sometimes people show up here as kids with their parents as kids too. I'm working on it. sweatdrop

Present - Your child has grown to what he or she had been before the Time/Space Crash, at least physically. What they have become otherwise depends on how you helped guide them. They will look the way you knew them, but that doesn't always mean they'll act the way you knew.

Future - Roleplay, and you'll see.

The children needn't be RPed. We know you're taking good care of them in your signature alone. However, there are bonuses for those that do roleplay!


- They may acquire companions or special items they encounter through their RP adventures....for no additional charge.

- Faster growth in many cases, as your inspiration rubs off on the artist. Without RP, it is a static 4-month stretch between growths.

- Your children, when grown, can breed, creating entirely custom OCs.

- You have a voice in who is found next from your child's homeworld, and who fosters those new children.

- An added stage, beyond the canon character you know. surprised

You can RP in many ways! Here in the thread, you can just have fun with other fosters and their children. But once the Guild is set up, you can:

- Hasten your child's growth in RP adventures and quests on their home world.

- Roleplay adventures at any age you wish in [E]poch threads!

- Explore other worlds with other friends in [C]hrono Cross threads!

New children arrive at The End Of Time often, which means Gaspar gets less sleep and more cranky every day. Needless to say, he wants to find them good homes as much as I do. So, here's how we do it!

Flats:

Flats will take place randomly. There will generally be 2-3 days notice or more of such things, because they make Tara squee. xp They will always be RP-based, because she also feels the pain of the dialupper. crying

All flats have the same RP requirement:

Meeting your child for the first time.

We will be looking for writing/spelling that is easy on our eyes, and especially initiative/creativity/connection for the child you hope to raise.

However, we're not your English teacher. If someone's post isn't technically superb, but is really fun to read, we're going to choose that over an entry with more grammar but less character.

Flats cost 15K or four sealed letters. Payment plans are available with prior arrangements. heart However, your child will not grow until it is paid in full.

Auctions

Auctions will be held at random. Once again, Tara will generally blab in advance/post on deviantART what characters hers will feature. Auctions have no RP requirement.

Bidding starts at 20k; donation items are priced at mid-LD.

Customs

Want to choose who arrives at The End Of Time, no prompt required? Check out our custom slots. 3nodding

Customs are also the ONLY way to unlock an OC of your own creation. For example, Bug and Tara's Sonic personas, Smash and Crush.

There are a few limits, however.

- First-generations may not be related to any canon character, ever....not even fifth cousin thrice removed. Canons have futures and lives beyond our natural instinct for pairing/claiming/making-a-dozen-close-relatives-and-kids-they-somehow-never-mention-IC. Please try to explore that instead. We aren't adverse to pairings and events that break with IC ( BABUSxEZEL PWN J00!11 scream ); in fact, we welcome it. Just don't try to force it for the sake of fandom.

- They're only human. Even if they really aren't, like Ozzie....you know what I mean! They have flaws, they make mistakes, and sometimes, it gets the better of them. Just look at Janus. They may be powerful in some things, but they aren't all-powerful. And most times, they're only strong in one or two areas, tops. Just look at me! If it's science, I can usually take your best shot. But if it's brute strength, look at Ayla....or if it's looking good in a dress, look at Marle. Even Lavos had a weak spot.

- More will be added as needed. sweatdrop But just remember how unbelievable bosses with eight million HP are when designing your OC.

Still there? Customs cost 400K, or can be gotten through a pet or art trade. What will we trade for? You never know unless you ask! 4laugh

Lucca the Great's Amazing Quick Reference Guide to the World of Chrono Trigger

I'll try not to spoil the really good stuff, since I've been talking with some company that wants to turn the story into a video game... whatever that is. They used the word "movie", too. Maybe I need to get out of the house more often...

Anyway! Here's some terms that you might want to become familiar with if you want to hang around here for any length of time. I'll put up new information as it occurs to me; with all these great ideas in my brain, it's guaranteed that something will get lost in there...

Guardia: This is my own homeworld, as well as where all my adventures with Crono happened. Again, some company wants to pay me for the story, so I can't tell you too much, but there was a lot of time travel. A LOT of time travel.

Gate Key: This is my greatest scientific accomplishment to date. It's what allowed us to travel through time with the Gates, which were kinda like small rips in the fabric of time created by Lavos. LONG story there...

Epoch: This was sort of a combination vehicle and time machine we acquired a lot later. Kinda made the Gate Key unnecessary, which I guess is why I didn't think it was that important. Which is why I took it apart. Which is how I ended up HERE...

Mystic: A race of non-humans from the world of Guardia. Most of them hold a major grudge against humans, though very few remember exactly WHY...

Tara Jenkins: Tara lofs her fiance, Bug Jenkins, and also scribs. X3 Her font hex code is #A60C7F, which she FINALLY memorized. eek Her favorite games include Final Fantasy (especially IX), Morrowind, Zelda, the Chrono series, and most currently Metal Gear, Katamari Damacy, and Disgaea. She draws a lot when she's not button-mashing. Favorite animation includes Mulan, Starchaser: The Legend Of Orin, ThunderCats, Galaxy Rangers....a shorter list would be what she DOESN'T like. xd

Baneful: Well, Bane likes drawing male characters .__. A lot. She is actually female but has a male avatar, she will forgive you the mistake a few times however, use whatever pronoun you want to describe her. Bane's favourite series of all time is the Final Fantasy one, with number 7 becoming less of a game and more of an obsession/lifestyle for her. However on top of that, she loves MGS1,2 and 3, Devil May Cry, Breath of Fire 4 and almost any other RPG you can throw at her.

Bane is /very/ guilty of over using the XD and XP emoticons, she should seek therapy for it but really, honestly, can't be bothered.

Ves: Ves is a would-be crusher of men and destroyer of worlds. One time, she built a boat entirely out of old peasant clothes and rescued drowning immigrants from the communist Isle of Gambino when it was being ruled by Fidel Gambino before being overthrown by his brother Johnny Gambino and turned into the beautiful capitalist empire we all know and love today. She is rumored to be a distant relative of Hulk Hogan, proving that she is an all-extreme American hardass who will hit you so hard with her electric guitar that you'll fly through three walls. She has a handlebar moustache because she is JUST THAT MANLY.

She also moonlights as an artist and an RP wrangler for the shop and can often be found snooping around the thread and drawing obscenities on the wall. Her current obsessions are: Jungle wa Itsumo Hale nochi Guu, Xenosaga, Katamari Damacy, and hanging around breedables threads. She is infamous for laying eggs in people's hair that hatch into horrible little Ves-faced larva monsters. She is also good at telling long-winded stories that are ultimately very dumb and exaggerated.

Every year, Ves rises from the sea to defend Tokyo from invading monsters, and is powered by the love of all children. She is secretly a giant turtle with a jet pack. Her favorite emoticon is cool because she knows that chillaxing is what life is all about.

Schala-Kitty: Most likely left here by aliens to spy upon the human race, Schala (Kitty-Mama if you wish) is at her happiest when she's at her weirdest. Lover of all things esoteric and exotic (and erotic too, let's not kid ourselves), she loves to delve into strange areas of subculture and wallow in the mire. Don't be too weirded out if she cites everything from Plato to Teen Girl Squad in the course of a conversation. As such, she exists in this thread as the resident rogue historian - Looking up and researching everything and anything about whatever it we was talkin' 'bout. If you have a question - just ask her, and if she doesn't know within a day, you get your pizza for free.

As for specifics - she is a lifelong Final Fantasy devotee (even more specific - She is a card-carrying member of Jenova's Witnesses (Ask about our Vision Plan!) and going to be a 15 year Edge/Rydia shipper soon). She's played many other RPGs or at least watched other people play them. Don't worry - she'll probably know what you're talking about. As far as anime goes, she'll watch anything that has enough bish to keep her interest (Enough = 1 to 20, depeening on the circumstance). She has a feirce addiction to scanlated manga (Nearly 1 Gig!) and a couple of fansubs, and a nasty addiction to writing fanfiction in class. Oh, and she probably will end up preaching the virtues of Angelique to you at least once. Most people thank her for it.

She is willing to do art and sometimes puts up stuff for the FS's. Her real passion here is customs work as she loves nothing more than to make other people happy. That and grilled chicken sandwhiches. Yesh >3

Pales: Generally a happy go lucky young man. Though despite this attitude underneath lurks a shrewd and calculating mind that only pretends he doesn't have a very large backbone. No, really, he has one.

He spends his time with his family and friends. Supposedly this man has the power to change his shape into that of a crow or a large crow-man-thing-that-is-scary-like-all-get-out, but he denies all allegations of this and will probably look at you a little oddly if you try to tell him that you know his secret. He also enjoys reading and being a background sort of guy, which is why he is working here. He will just run about in the background and tattle on people that aren't doing what they should. So nya.

Anyhow, is easy to talk to and fairly mild mannered. He likes hugs, cuddles, and making friends. Even if people hurt or betray him once or twice he will give them yet a third chance to prove that they are not total scum of the earth. If they ruin that chance then Pales becomes mean and starts beating you with sticks.

He is very protective of his friends too. So hurt them and DIE.

Carda: While many would consider Carda to be the most normal of people, he maintains that if you get anyone in the right set of circumstances, they WILL get weird on you. With him, it's usually the right set of circumstances. His current favorite obsessions include Dance Dance Revolution (It's a workout, I swear...), his fiancee, and the occasional manga or anime. Don't ask about specific series; that's ASKING for a mile-long list. You want a novel, go read SpaceTime Complex instead. (Shameless plug alert!)

Carda is a very reasonable person to deal with, as long as you're polite and respectful. If you get nasty, he can get nastier. Guaranteed. You have been warned. ^_^;

Carda does not do art. At all. His creative talents lie in music and the written word. All artwork submitted by Carda to just about anywhere is most likely done by his fiancee, who puts him to shame in the visual artwork department. So please don't ask, because he won't forward any art requests or commissions. Sorry, that's just how it is. *shrug*

Carda and Xironi are currently working on Less Than Three Studios, as well as planning their wedding. Life is therefore rather busy, but Carda will try to be as active as humanly possible.

Selona: Being a bit of a flake at times, it's been decided that Selona has the attention span equivalent of a goldfish... and has a magical talent to fall flat on her butt when she's walking in flat shoes on flat ground. Give her a small ledge in heels and she can walk fine for hours though sweatdrop She's an obsession with pastel colours, and a love of all things small, cute and fuzzy. She has a strange dislike of Ninja's, which is ironic because some of her friends seem to be ninjas...

However to deal with these 'threats', she's taken to hosing them on sight. More of a reflexive action than anything else, she doesn't put a whole lot of thought in behind this action, and believes it serves a higher purpose. She adores her Tara, and most of the other people at the shop (but hey she doesn't wanna scare people so she's quiet about it wink ) and does her best to keep an eye on it.

Lastly, she's very patient, but she has no qualms telling you exactly how she feels... in a nice-heartfilled-way heart

Closet_Ninja -The Closet Ninja had a real name once, but it was cast aside when Splinter Cell revealed his true calling in life. The rush he felt when approaching his hapless victims, scarce aware of what would soon befall them soon became too great, and thus it was revealed he was indeed a closet ninja. No, THE Closet Ninja. But, due to a tight job market, and sub-par vision he was forced to consider other career options.

Now he helps lost children find parents, raises a few of his own, while trying to maintain his workload in college, play Halo on Thursdays with his friends, and role play twice a week. The Closet Ninja has been involved in several forum role plays before and in that time has come to despise emoticons, but usually suppresses this.

Unfortunately, as The Closet Ninja has little time for forum role play on top of his other commitments, his children won't be able to interact often with the others, but as most of his are somewhat deranged, it's for the best.

He does welcome customs, and enjoys the challenge of creating new characters.

Coronaviridae: Having sold her soul to a faceless demon in return for a handful of beans otherworldly powers, Coronaviridae holds the world record for being a tricycle. All of her other world records were attributed to Vin Deisel, who did not actually perform any death-defying acts but happened to be in the right place at the right time. Fortunately for her, Vin Deisel is Coronaviridae's personal slave and pet. He just doesn't know it yet.

She enjoys long walks on the beach, invertebrates, sleep, and not dying a horrible death from ebola every week. She is a self-acknowledged victim of gender confusion, a pretentious Xenoslut, and a wearer of the Crazy b***h Hat. To date, she has four(!) cosplays of her favorite Xenosaga character, who she so totally is not obsessed with, nuh-uh. She is easily bribed by shiny things, and generally weak-willed. Also, she likes candy.

Her favorite emoticons are <3 and D:. These are not to be confused with their more popular animated cousins heart and biggrin . Her art is disturbingly eclectic and often involves lots of bright colors, owing to the fact Coronaviridae remains to this day a three-year-old at heart. She also likes RP. She likes RP...a lot.

Ummy: Don't let her happy smile and seemingly carefree attitude fool you, Ummy means business. Even if that business is a little unusual. Whether she's shooting up space pirates on Zebes, dominating at Star Wars trivia, or selling jewelry at the mall, Ummy gets the job done. But that's okay, she likes it.

Ummy is a girl of many obsessions. Topping the list are Metroid, Star Wars, chibis, Kingdom Hearts, anime voice actors (English or Japanese), Koge Donbo art, and all things related to Koyasu Takehito. She's also rumored to be quite good at para para, and I hear that she's won a few tournaments. They even say she's an official choreographer for Geneon. Hm, imagine that.

There are very few things that Ummy won't try, and that includes in art. Though she likes her own style, she's gotten good at imitating other styles. Customs? Not a problem.
