Mythology-In Ancient Egypt, it was used magically in protective amulets. Romans, rubbed the red powder that came from this stone onto their bodies to make them invulnerable. When hemtite is rubbed against a harder stone, it leaves a reddish mark, which led to the myth that these stone bled.
