“Here in the world of Adraiggnu, we humans have been living alongside a race of dragons known as the Dreichda. While dragons are often depicted as brutish, carnivorous beasts, the Dreichda are relatively peaceful. They cannot speak to us in tongue we understand but they have always approached us without the slightest fear. Through my research and interaction with the creatures I have discovered we have things that they want- the ability to organize in masses to accomplish goals, raising healthy and tasty livestock, and building large “nests” for keeping families. By offering their own abilities to aid us in our daily lives the Dreichda have created a mutual friendship and eliminated the use of some of our own inventions. For a short period of time though political debate halted the relationship between us and the Dreichda. Simply put, some humans were stepping boundaries and breaking trusts through their crimes. Our world had been shaken up a bit, but after enough time we were able to return to a peaceful, calm time with the Dreichda. Now days, we see humans and Dreichda living and interacting together. I can’t help but wonder though that there might be certain Dreichda out there who do not like us and their own race for our use of one another… either way, such politics are not my specialty. My name is Rhaenii, and I am a human representative to the Dreichda. I research and communicate the best I can with these creatures, and assist with teaching other people how to take care of a Dreichda.

As of right now, Rhaenii and her team are working diligently to discover any remaining subspecies of Dreichda. The Common subspecies was the first type that she had come across, and make up the majority of accounted-for Dreichda. Common Dreichda feature classic dragon traits- bat-like wings, horns, reptilian tails, scales, protruding ears, and occasionally bodily spikes and fins. In some Dreichda, hair has been a reoccuring trait. Common Dreichda are Capable of breathing fire and full flight, unless wingless of course. Usually well tempered and neutral, this subspecies is rarely a source of conflict amongst both humans and other Dreichda.
The second subspecies Dr. Rhaenii and Noel discovered were the tenacious and strong Mountes. From what they've observed, Mountes are a highly matriarchal subspecies located in the more rugged terrains of Adraiggnu. Clan leaders and power holders are almost always female who are identified by longer, wispier hairs from their feet. Mountes in general can exhibit a unique array of horns and spikes around their body but are also covered by a protective array of plates instead of typical scales- this protects them from falling rocks and debris as well as provides humechen riders with a place to hold gear and supplies. Although Mountes are typically friendly towards humechen, they have a tendency to be reclusive and shy in nature. Some do not wish to interact with humechen and make nests in desolate regions along the poles of the planet. Because of the weather in these climates, Mountes are sometimes found with large tufts of fur and very rarely sport decorative hair but have been known in some cases to have it.
The chimerical subspecies is the equivalent to mutant pets. Chimerical Dreichda are incredibly hard to predict for temper- they can easily be as friendly as Common dreichda, but also incredibly spiteful and evil towards other Dreichda and humans alike. Chimerical Dreichda are defined by additional traits not found within the ring of the classified subspecies. Traits such as feathered wings, non-dragon tails, paws, alternate noses, multiple wings are considered chimerical.
