It was fun at the beginning, but as time went on a lot of friends I had
got sick of it and quit, so that was saddening.
I had a lot of fun working at the camps as a counselor,
But not very much fun selling cookies. That was the time of year I dreaded. xD
Yes, I've had quite a bit of experience riding horses.
I even worked for a professional trainer for a couple summers. <3
That was fun, aside from the time I was helping him teach a horse
we liked to call "Sleeping Beauty" to jump.
That horse was so lazy...:/ I took her over a jump
And she wouldn't do it right so she ended up falling on top of me.
Anyway, though, jumping is my FAVORITE thing to do.
Haha, well...I hear that you're not a real rider until you've fallen off a horse.
So I guess that makes your sister a "real rider." =P
Cross hatching is a style of artwork.
Whereas lots of people use blending for shading,
In cross hatching you shade by drawing two layers of lines at right-angles to create a mesh-like pattern.
If you google it you can see some examples. :]
I don't ride horses as much as I used to.
Actually, it's probably been about a year.
I don't have anywhere to keep a horse while I'm at college.
I think I started when I was about ten. I visited a stable to earn a horse lover's badge in Girl Scouts,
And kept at it until I was about seventeen. By that point my family had ten horses
And riding just seemed liked a chore. Too many horses, too little time
And I didn't have anyone else to ride with.
Last year I started getting back into it a little,
And I'm sure that if I had the space here I'd bring my horse with me and ride her whenever I got a chance.
I can't even remember all the things I've drawn.
I suppose I'd go with either my kitchen corner
Or else a cross hatching drawing I had to do for an art class in high school.
I hated cross-hatching. It looked good, it just took much longer than shading would have.
I don't really have a specific thing I draw.
Just if I get an idea in my head,
Or if I really enjoy, say, a movie (like Tim Burton's "The Corpse Bride" wink
I may draw the characters or a scene from it.
Just kinda whatever. =P
Ooh, I love to read, also.
Again, just whatever I find interesting...^^;
Haha, I don't know much about sports.
I had fun playi9ng volleyball in high school,
And I like things like swimming, roller blading, jogging/walking
and horseback riding (my family has six horses).
But I don't draw as much as I used to.
What do you love to do?
I was drawing a card for my dad's birthday, yesterday.
Then yesterday I started working on a Romeo and Juliet drawing. =O
I understand about being busy.
I'll be busy starting next week. ^^;
Now, I'm sitting back and watching Hana Yori Dango.
How about you? ^^
It's been a
BORING
summer.
