I just thought of the sock simile because that's what she had us do on the second day of classes. Try to communicate without very many verbal means. Some people used handkerchiefs or bandannas instead, but I forgot that we were supposed to bring something in, so I grabbed a spare pair of socks out of my backpack and used those.



Lucky I did too. The kids who had nothing had to have parcel tape put over their mouths.
