About
Away.
It's driving me insane, not being able to see him. (We've known each other since I was 13 years old. He turns 34 in November, I just turned 25.)
I mean, I see him via our phones, and he either flies over here every two weeks, or I go to him.
Only thing keeping me from moving is my 12 year old son. I don't feel that pulling him out of school, and making him live in another country is right for him right now.
(I have him learning the language and such, which is making him a little more excited to move.)
I guess all I really want from you lovely people is different ways to cope with the distance.
I'm right sick of crying into one of his shirts or jackets every night. Tell me if you have had to deal with the same thing, what you have done to deal with it...
Thanks for your time.
Maybe talk to your son and see if he is open to the idea of moving in with your husband. Explain to him that it would make you very happy and that living in a new country can be a great new experience (I should know, I grew up in Ireland and when I was 8 years old my family moved to Canada) Maybe show him pictures of the country, events that take place, talk about the people and language.
Hey here is a good idea. Maybe find him a penpal in that same country and have them exchange letters for a few months and maybe your son will be more open to the idea of moving.
Tell him in your new house you will have internet access and your son will be able to use the internet to talk to his friends that he has now. Tell him that even sometimes he can go and visit them and they can come there.
Oh, he has been to Finland, he loves it there, he loves our home there.
He jsut wasn't happy with the idea of pulling out of school this year.
