About
Hmm, an About Me section! Let's see what we can do with this...*tinkers*
All right, this seems good.
Name: Tamriff, though you've probably deduced that. My real name? That, I'm not telling. :p
Age: Fifteen.
Location: Canada, the land of lumberjacks and wilderbeasts such as the moose and the great beaver, where people speak French everywhere and maple syrup flows like a river. Am I exaggerating? Hardly.
Musical tastes: I've quite the archaic taste in music. I like old progressive rock as much as celtic and I'm at home with Paul McCartney as much as I am with Damien Rice.
And so, musical tastes include artists like: Yes, Jethro Tull, Great Big Sea, Lunasa, Cullan's Hounds, DanĂ¹, Damien Rice, Steve Howe, J.S. Bach, Chopin, Mozart, Vivaldi, AC/DC, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Incredible String Band, The Police, The Guess Who, The Who, Pachelbel, Mendelhsson(sp?), Aerosmith, The Beatles, David Bowie, Emerson Lake & Palmer, James Taylor, Harmonium, Tenacious D, Pink Floyd(the earlier period), Rush, Simon and Garfunkel, The Doors, Architecture in Helsinki and soundtracks from various musicals and animes. I've probably forgotten a few, but never mind.
Literary preferences: I'm a huge book nerd, so I'll cite authors rather than book titles... something along the lines of J.K. Rowling, Richard Scrimger, O.R. Melling, J.R.R. Tolkien, Jonathan Stroud, T.A. Barron, Charles De Lint, Richard Scrimger, Bill Bryson, Brian Jacques, Meg Cabot(yes, I know. It's weird. Deal with it.), C.S. Lewis, Jenny Nimmo, Orson Scott Card, Jane Yolen, Kenneth Oppel, D.J. Machale, Guy de Maupassant, Charles Beaudelaire, Pierre Bottero, William Shakespeare, Edmond Rostand, Alexandre Dumas, Jules Verne, Terry Pratchett and others. Wow, I never noticed how many authors I like use their initials...
Known hobbies: Writing, reading, singing, acting, rowing(in the summer), Tai Chi Ch'uan(Yang form), swimming at any time in the year, debating philosophical stuff, proving that there are indeed spoons,, more acting, guitar-playing, songwriting(occasionally), internet-mongering...
And that's all he wrote.
