Goodday, goodday. I am Dawn. I was told to come over here and leave a message for you so seeing as how I'm good at ranting, here we go. (Note this isn't about you, it's just a rant.)
I don't know about you, but I'm a bit sick and tired of joining new online games only to find that children and teenagers are basically running it. By running it, I mean the average age of people is between eight and eighteen. Anyone outside of those age groups are basically shunned by society (the society of the website). When people ask me how old I am I tell them. They never believe me until they check my profile. Then they tell me to get out, like I don't belong there. I don't think the younger generations realize that we need to be entertained too. They seemed shocked that someone older than nineteen would want to play an online game. By the way, if you're under 19 and reading this let me make something perfectly clear. Adults need to be entertained too. Contrary to popular belief, not all of us have neighbours we can visit every night. We don't all have a friend down the street we can go to the bars with. We don't all like going to bars. We're not consumed by our work. We're not technologically illiterate (although I must admit I was completely anti-technology for a few years). These are all stereotypes and a lot of us in the older generations do not fit them. We've progressed a lot and, as such, we retain the old time values but we try to apply them to the new age attitude. We use proper grammar and it frustrates us that schools nowaday let you get away with using shorthand (or SMS) or don't place as much emphasis on spelling, or let you pass with a 45% average. We weren't allowed to. Anyway getting back to the point, Adults do play online games and we do enjoy them. Let us or we will organize a fourth world war.... on youths.
