Did you ever hear about the terms active voice and passive voice used in grammar and editing?Active voice- I like pie.
Passive voice- Pie is liked by me.
Now, if one didn't clearly understand the meaning of passive voice, one would think that the passive voice of "I like pie" would be like this:
Active voice- I like pie.
Passive voice- Pie like I.
As you can see, that is clearly incorrect. Whoever says that this is correct must think that the passive voice of something is the last word and the first word of the sentence switched. But that is completely wrong, and deserves no credit at all for effort. This sentence completely "turned the tables", and means the total opposite of the way it is intentioned.
