That sounds really rough though! It's not an emo-tale if it's something important and bad happening! >< As for not being able to get a job for a year, that shouldn't put a hole in your confidence at all. The way the job market is now, it's hard to grab anything at all even if it's so much as an entry-level position.
As for me, I'm actually fighting the system. I'm physically disabled, rather severely so, and yet I've been denied for disability benefits twice. Heck, the last time they didn't even bother putting my application to a judgment. They just threw it out. I found a good attorney who will help with it if it gets denied again, and after telling him what the problem was he's even offering to cut his fees down. ^^; So both good and bad on my end...
