I meditate and I read. I've learned hard lessons. My faith was broken and rebuilt. I've lost friends and gained heroes. I've made mistakes and have regrets. The greatest of these was hurting the person who taught me the difference between love and fear. I hope to honour their memory by doing right moving forward, because what happens stays happened. I know they forgave me long ago, but it'll be a long time before I can forgive myself. Maybe one day when the wounds have healed, the friendship(s) will mend too.

As such, I've finally removed the fear from my life. I'm now with someone I can be completely honest with. He accepts me for everything I am and helps me heal daily. I pray I can be half the person he is. I'm so much less disgusted with myself than I have been for 9 years. I finally have a life I want to remember.
