Woman behind the Wench
As you enter that tavern the shade is a welcome relief from the long road & hot sun. The air is filled with a heavy mixture of scents, the old wood of the building, many spilled ales soaking in, the roasting meat on the fire, the sweet aroma of apple dumplings being pulled from the oven. You find a table though the tavern is quite crowded.Then you see her coming from behind the bar like an angel of mercy coming across the room. Her tray is heavily loaded with beverages, a small dragon is playing at her feet doing it’s best to try & trip her, but she still manages to give you an honest friendly smile.
“I’ll be right with you hun” she says as she delivers the drinks to the table next to you. Her dark red hair is tied up into pigtails more to keep it out of her face than for fashion but it shows off her bright blue eyes. She only wears one piece of jewelry a fancy necklace. Probably from a suitor or a client you never know with wenches after all.
“Well you’re a new face” she smiles leaning on your table “I’m Miss Rosie, if you forget just look at my shoulder I have a rose tattoo to remind you. Now let me get you a drink you must be hot from the road.” She heads back to the bar the little dragon still playing under her feet & brings a tankard with a pitcher of ice cold water. Sweet blessed relief.
