The now-proven-to-be-non-existent shadows. Explanation here.
SO, the whole thing behind them. Shadows are a product of mental instability, usually from trauma caused by things such as physical abuse, rape, isolation, a friend/family death, a big accident (usually loss of limb or similar).
It all comes from the state of mind. Like schizophrenia, nobody else can hear the shadows nor see them, only the effects.
Yeah, there's your explanation. Before, the only occasion that we knew of a shadow being formed was from rape, so... yeah.
Not explaining any further, you can ask me if you wish.
Don't breathe a word aloud to the person it concerns though. You will get hurt.
