Life of a Rose
My name is Paulina. My friends and most people in general know me as Rose, however, and that is the name that I answer to. I am 5 foot 4 and a little stocky (I'm in shape, round is a shape). I have auburn hair, mostly dark brown with a bit of red and blonde thrown in, which I dyed black and cut to my shoulders not long ago (can't wait for it to grow back to my waist and its natural color) and deep green eyes. Oddly enough, my eyes also sometimes turn grey or blue, but *shrugs* I'm a little weird that way O.o...lol. My skin is very fair, and I look like a lobster if I do not use sunscreen. Haha!I am Irish, Cajun (French), and Native American. My Irish blood shows through the best and it is the part of my heritage that I am most proud of. Native American comes in a close second...and I just try to forget about the CoonAss part. Ha!
I am Wiccan and extremely proud to be so. I honor Gaia, the Green Man, the Lord, and the Lady. I am of the Hedge tradition, otherwise known as "Kitchen Witches". My involvement in the Craft is simple, but fulfilling. I enjoy the religion side of things more than anything else...Anyone who does not know what Wicca is, feel free to visit the following page: http://www.angelfire.com/realm2/amethystbt/ffwiccaisandnot.html . If you have any further questions afterwards, message me and I will do my best to answer you.
I love music. In fact, I can play the clarinet, the piano (treble clef only), and the lyre (small harp). I write poetry and stories happily and, if I may be so conceited, pretty well. I do a little art, but it's not the best. I also do a lot of photography work. Although, it isn't my greatest strength just yet either. ^_^
I am trying not to smoke anymore and have therefore developed an addiction to sunflower seeds and chocolate covered coffee beans. Lol. I am failing miserably due to my current job and the stress it causes, but the addiction to sunflower seeds and coffee beans seems to have become permanent anyway. Lmao. I do drink occasionally, but only in a social atmosphere, i.e. a party with friends.
I've had a pretty rough life, but it's going a bit more smooth now. I like to think that it is because of the life I have had that I am the person I am today. And I am proud of the person I have become. Because I know now that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and that any bad situation can be made into a positive one. I am stronger for the experiences I have lived through and my mission in life is now to help anyone and everyone I can if it is within my power to do so.
I love vampires...in fact, my room is covered in Victoria Frances posters. I think it is wonderful how mysterious and erotic vampires are. I love the Anne Rice series, not to mention the new Black Dagger Brotherhood books. *quivers* Yeah, um, they're great. Real page turners. Lol.
Also, I am taken! Blissfully and completely and forever. Lol. My Seth is the most awesome, handsome, sweetest, funniest guy in the entire world. Or at least to me he is. ^_^
Now, for something that may offend...I write stories and poetry that sometimes contain some pretty graphic violence just because I would rather vent that way than by hurting someone. But I don't agree with war, or what Bush is doing to our country. I understand that he was chosen by our country's people, but I wasn't old enough to vote when it happened, so don't blame me. He was not my choice and the idea of our boys being in Iraq, killing people who don't want them there in the first place makes me want to send Bush an earfull. HOWEVER, if you want to speak to me, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT say anything negative about our troops. I love those guys for their strength and courage and I will do anything to help them. Not to mention, my soulmate is over there in the midst of all this. Therefore, I'm sure you'll understand why I get so ticked when people down the soldiers. I don't support the war, but I do support the troops. Got that? Ok, maybe we'll be able to get along after all. ^_^
