Reason: (okay this is shitty but it's the best I can think of) The moonpool's energy is wearing off, leaving the connection weak. If they don't get energy soon, Moonpool won't work. You only have 2 more moons.
After you go to the cave of shining moss, you place the energy/moss 8D into the pool. Moonpool will glow then speak a prophecy. Yes, then the real fun will start >3
