It's not all about emo, you need to cheer the feck up eventually! Seriously, a well-rounded person has a variety of music in the collection. Open your mind to new things. Diversity is a good thing, isn't it? Never too soon to expand your musical library...

Or if the Celt thing isn't your style, you might have grown-up goth parents that remember the gothy post-punk band The Bolshoi from the late 80's. If they don't, they weren't cool. The frontman of that band is in Rathkeltair and has his own new solo music too. More suited for those with an emo/gothy taste and find the 'pipes a bit much:

As insulting as it is to use the term "gay" to define something you believe to be lame or stupid (to hundreds of thousands of people in this country alone), Gaia won't reprimand him for it. I'm sure his parents are proud.

He's welcome to enjoy whatever woman-hating, violent music he wants. But to call an entire genre "gay" and leave this opinion in a public forum makes me ill. Who asked for his opinion?

It's fine that he doesn't appreciate the music, but calling anything "gay" in reference to something negative is absolutely hateful and bigoted. It's insulting to non gays like me, no matter what his choice in music happens to be.
