My original account, Syluvan, has been lost for good because a previous friend of mine gave me some items, and failed to tell me that said items were hacked. Because the trade was made entirely on the same IP address, there's nothing I can do to get my account restored; thus I lost everything, and have built this account from the ground up. Hopefully such a disaster will never occur again.~~~

I've been a Gaian since October of '04, although that's rather hard to tell now that my account from that time has been lost. If my avatar doesn't look like an '04, that would be why, and I'll thank you in advance for avoiding any insensitivity.
I'm an avid roleplayer, primarily taking part in fantasy-genre roleplays (sadly, though, there has been a rather great lack of decent ones as of late). I have one original character who goes by the name of Syluvan, my prior account having been named after him, and he's taken many forms in the past. He's beginning to settle in, though, and if you'd like to meet him feel free to ask me via PM (although I do require for anyone asking to be a COMPETENT roleplayer, having a deep original character with a good backstory). I also have a smattering of other characters designed for various RPs around the site (most of whom go by the name of Alexander), along with two characters that I've created in past Dungeons & Dragons campaigns that I still let visit the light of day once every few blue moons.
As for me, well...I am. I exist. Not much more to it. I suppose I'm many things, but I'll leave it to the beholder to decide precisely what those things are. No two people will ever see me in exactly the same way, and all of them are right. In short, though, I'm a somewhat eccentric guy with a fascination with angels. I have a penchant for cats, roses, and fine art, and I hold chivalry, dignity, etiquette, and honour in very high regard (in no particular order). Presently, I am dating a wonderful woman by the name of Loretta (complete with uncreative username--forgive me, sweetie, you know I love you, but it's totally true razz ). If you'd like to get to know me, PM's are always welcome (although random friend requests from those with whom I've never conversed are not).
I know that there is pain in the world. To live is to be hurt from time to time. If anyone ever needs to talk, I'm willing to listen. Whether I've known you forever or have never heard of you before, if you need someone to talk to, please feel free to ask. My only request is that you do so through a PM rather than profile comments.
