Thanx so much! wink I'm am SO sorry that I went on you a bit hard, but that day my temper was red hot. Someone tore open my notebook and ruined it. Anyway, sorry. Can you help me think of named for other stories? Or even nothing but dust? My friends are doing an awful job helping me. Well, actuly only one is actualy trying, but, lots of friends do that sometimes.

Thought that was probably what had happened (the first and second degree murder business), the different factors I already knew about and I was just getting frustrated with myself for not being about to find the other details. I know the life sentences does not mean you're locked up for life, it just surprised me that aforementioned states would have a standard minimum penalty of life (not taking into account parole). But, then again, it's Qld. What do you expect?

I was bored, spent time reading up on my bills (mainly NSW). Finding second degree murder is a bugger to find. Was interesting to see that murder has a minimum sentence of 20 years. Thought that was crazy. But Qld, SA, and NT all have life sentences. Manslaughter has a minimum sentence of 4 years and 8 months (don't know how that fits in with your info) Will end the research bombardment now.

Australia's different. In your thing you wrote: 'a person could be in gaol for only four years for a murder'. That is wrong =/ Change it to twenty-five if you want. But it's not 4. Just letting you know.

There's a typo in your comment in 'x_LOLz_x aka Gemma's thread. It's not 4 years, it's 40 years as the max sentencing for second degree murder. Just wanted to clear that up (checked the American legal to make sure it correct for the setting). Criminologist gotta work for his pay, eh? xD
