The concert ended up happening! And it was awesome. I almost didn't go, but then I convinced myself that I should and I had a really good time. I got to hug the hot synth player from Crystal Castles. Also, I got to go to the concert fo free.
And nano is sucking. But I'm gonna try to get on track today and hopefully I feel better about it after that. We'll see I guess...
I'm gonna try to read more as well. I have a shelf full of books and I've read hardly any of them. So I'm gonna try to do it to it on that front.

I dunno. Everything is terrible. Nanowrimo starts today, but I don't really feel like writing. I was supposed to go to a concert tonight, but I'm pretty sure that's not happening. I just want to lay in bed and cry and sleep and eat terrible things.

One of my teachers told me this story about how when she was in undergrad she had this professor, Professor Koch, and he was brilliant but very stern. At her school, they would leave the windows open over spring break and sometimes pigeons would nest behind the chalk boards. Anyway, when she was in class one day, Professor Koch was reading Rilke, and this was like a huge, 200 person lecture, and no one was paying attention to him. Instead, they were paying attention to the pigeon that was directly behind his head. No one said anything for a very long time, and finally some girl interrupted: "Professor Koch, I hate to interrupt, but there's a pigeon behind your head". Without looking up, Professor Koch replied, "There's a pigeon behind all of our heads, it's all a matter of distance".
