Mayuri is the 12th squad captain as well as the head of the department of research and development. he is cruel and willing to do anything to get the research data he wants,including once where he turned a few of his own men into human bombs intending to capture orihime and kill her quincy companion. he wheres body paint and has severely augmented his body for combat purposes. he uses flash steps and his left ear can be pulled out revealing a chain scythe. he uses this simultaniusly with his sword. his sword (one of the more powerful swords of the soul society) has two release forms. the first being that his sword turns into a staff like blade and its tips contain poisons that severe use of the limbs but still allow pain to be felt. the second form releasing a giant worm like entity that is at least 10 city blocks long. it can devour opponents whole or it can scewer them with blades that coe out of its stomach and shoot foward....most dangerously,it can spew out a poison for which there is no cure or vaccine. all of these abilities combined with mayuris knowledge and technological abilities make him a dangerous member of the gotei 13
