That Voodoo I Do

Full Name: Jamila Marjani Murphy Drake
Nicknames: Mila
Age: 23
Marital status: Married to Sorin Drake
Family: Born to the landlord's house keeper on Murphy Plantation. Her father was the landlord, also Nerissa's father.
Occupation: Slave turned pirate.
Home: Murphy Plantation in Kingston, Jamaica.
Height: 5'5
Weight: 140lbs
Eyes: Dark brown.
Hair: Dark brown, almost black braids that fall about her face or just braids along her head and then going into her normal curls. It depends on how bored she has gotten.
Clothing and form: Average height and average build, she's not as tall and wispy as her older half-sister, but a better fighter. Her dark skin doesn't burn easily, perfect for working on the deck of a ship. Jamila normally dresses in trousers, boots, and loose shirts, or whatever a servant girl can get ahold of (a.k.a old things of Nerissa's).
What you own: The clothing on her back, a pistol, a couple daggers, and a big stick.
Weapon: Jamila normally chooses to use her scimitar or staff that she can fight with like a bo.
Personality: Jamila is far more quiet and respectful that her half-sister, enough to the point that you'd never expect them to be related. Raised in conditions even stricter than Nerissa's, Jamila is hardworking and obedient. These conditions also made her strong emotionally and physically. She is fiercely loyal and stands up for what she believes, although she knows where she must draw a line. A bit more like her sister, shes stubborn and proud and although it takes a while to make her angry, once she is, you want to be far away.
History: Jamila was born in the landlord's house situated at the center of Murphy Plantation. Her mother, Adeze, is the house keeper. Apparently Mr. Murphy grew fond of her during his lonely times in Jamaica and Adeze is the result. None of the other Murphy's were ever aware of this and Mr. Murphy took good care of Adeze and Jamila. Jamila was even taught basic reading and writing. Adeze also taught Jamila the culture and ways of traditional Africa. So Jamila is skilled at voodoo magic and divining.
Mr. Murphy passed and his brother, George, took over the plantation due to the inconvenient disappearance of the Murphy heir. George is in no way mean or cruel, but he does not have the hold over the plantation overseers that his brother had. The overseers will take any reason to whip a slave or take one of their women and lately one has had his eye upon Jamila. Jamila does not wish to leave her aging mother, but Adeze has taken up urging her daughter to make an escape for it, before the conditions get worse. Jamila just needs the opportunity to get off Jamaica...
Greatest Strengths: A fierce fighter and strong willed.
Weakness: Clearly an African woman in a white man's dominated world, Jamila has limits as to what she can do and where she can go when on civilized land.
