Sea Monkeys diets usually subsist of Sea Monkey Food or whatever they can cook. One Bag of Sea Monkey Food contains 10 "units" of Sea Monkey Food, which can last a single Monkey for a good while. Sea Monkey Food, Tools, and Ingredients do not incur upon precious inventory space; rather, Sea Monkey Food is placed in a counter on the tag and Tools and Ingredients are placed in the Journal.

Cooking for Sea Monkeys is a bit different. Firstly, it requires a Cook Book and a Journal (which is provided for you!). Depending on the age and skill of the cook, a recipe will be found that absolutely delights the Monkey who will cook and he or she can set about making it (if they have the ingredients). Skill will be indicated by a bar in the journal. To successfully complete the recipe, you must roleplay the monkey cooking the recipe in a journal post.
