Joined for the aquarium because I love aquariums. I even have a 12 gallon tank with Cichlids here in my dorm room at school. At home I have a 29 gallon tank in my room and a 55 gallon tank downstairs in the living room that technically belongs to my parents but it's stocked with my Cichlids and I'm the one that keep an eye on it when I'm at home. If anyone is looking for freshwater fish that are colorful and very interesting to watch you should try African Cichlids. These fish can be aggressive but if you buy them as babies and get them all at the same size they tend to get along a lot better. You can put other fish in with Cichlids if they are big enough to hold their own or if the Cichlids grow up with them. I have some friends who have some large goldfish with their Cichlids and the goldfish think they are Cichlids too and even chase the Cichlids.
