Fun Facts:
★ Pluto is 1/5 the mass of Earth's moon made mostly of ice and rock. Due to its brightness Pluto was originally believed to be much larger and more planet-like.
★ Pluto's orbit is irregular which allows it to be closer to the sun than Neptune for about 20 years out of its 248 year cycle.
★ Pluto has five moons. The largest of which, Charon, is so large that it is sometimes considered to be a fellow dwarf planet in a binary system. The smaller moons of Pluto are called Kerberos and Styx and were discovered July 2011 and July 2012 respectively.
★ Pluto's Roman counterpart was Hades who was the God of the underworld and the dead.
