Hehe, I know. I'm glad I started drawing when I was very young. Hell, I found some old drawings from ten years ago the other day. I also found an old drawing I did of Tifa Lockheart from FF7 at some point and it's quite possibly the funniest thing I've seen in my life

I can't draw today until the evening because I'm going out for the day, and I think it might be better for me to first start practicing in a more lighter environment where the shadows contrast more? I don't know, it just might seem easier to start there instead of just drawing an object with unnatural light where the shadows won't be as clear

Awesomesauce. I've experimented a lot with the brush settings but I can just never get them to look right. I know it's more about how I utilise them, but it can just get so frustrating sometimes, hehe. Then again, I suppose I'm only a kiddywink and I've got a long long while to practice and get better c:

I must say, it really does show in your artwork. It just looks so detailed and I don't know just pretty and skillful and aaaaahhh emotion_kirakira
I only use like the water tool and the blend tool when I shade. That's probably where I'm going wrong, to be honest. (Plus I have very limited knowledge on how to create a good palette and on where I should place shadows!)
I really need to start downloading and using more brushes. I'm on sai and I just use the basic brushes that came with it. But, hey, it's gotta be better than my gimp says where I just used the dodge burn tool //shudder never again

Oh, is that so? I was just wondering how you go about shading your artwork. Please excuse my terrible wording, hehe. Do you blend it with a water tool or something or do you use specific brush settings? I'm assuming it's a mixture of both, but your work just has such a lovely painterly feel to it. I can't really describe it but it just looks stunning. Whenever I try to blend my shading I always go overboard and I'm completely unsure on how to go about doing it hehe
