Purpose
Long ago humanity was comprised of three beings: those of the sun (man and man), those of the earth (woman and woman), and those of the moon (man and woman). We had four arms, legs, and eyes and as you can imagine we were quite a sight to behold. We were created so perfect and so complete that our power even rivaled that of the gods. However, we were so blinded by our gift and the lust for more that humanity made plans to march on olympus and overthrow the rule of Zeus. In fear of losing his throne, Hapheastus was summoned to forge Zeus many bolts to put a stop to our threatening regime. The gods deliberated until the ultimate punishment for humanity was reached and Zeus took his lightening bolts and struck every being into two pieces. We were scattered about the earth, doomed to wander the the world alone and incomplete for as long as our race walks the earth. For our ignorance and disregard to the things that made us powerful all along we find ourselves as we are today, vainly searching for the one person somewhere on this lonely earth whom can complete our severed soul. However, if we remain blind to our gift of love the punishment remains, and we should be weary of the gods for we may be stricken in two again so that we may be even less of a soul that we are now.
